This looks to to be a more refined (albeit, darker) version of CS8, but could this be the final theme (as it seems to imply in the title)?
Looks like there will be a IIDX-style score graph chart, which you can move wherever you like during a song, and even switch the arrows to REVERSE on the fly, too. Also good to note is that it will have both ITG percentages along with the regular scoring at the bottom.
We won't have to wait too long for its release, which is less than three weeks from now. : )

It said that the it will be released on 8/17.But...
SO the Theme's name mean's "LAST",or it won't be CyberiaStyle9 -Last Approach-.I don't think CyberiaStyle Project will quit theming.If CS9 is really the end of CyberiaStyle themes,they can jump out of old styles and bring something new!

they have been doing this (releasing the "RC" version in the Comiket, then some months later, released the download version) since CS7. so in August 17th, it will be an "RC" release.

I just tested it and I have to say it's more than just a darker version of CS8.
There's a lot more player options to choose from like the timing deviation a la DDR, opening a folder in the music select menu removes the other folders, meaning you'll return to the folder head after scrolling past the last song on the list so you can easily close it, there's also tons of options available in the profile menu like a being able to put a profile picture and settings for your default noteskin, screen filter color and even horizontal grid lines on the notes.
All in all, it's a big improvement over CS8 and I highly recomend getting it!
NOTE:The theme also comes with a V2 version of it's own noteskins (available in both Color an Vivid colors).

I've always been a massive fan of the CyberiaStyle theme designs. Sadly, I don't think I can run StepMania 5 well enough to use this theme, as it's apparently very large and will probably make SM5 on my netbook run even slower than it already does, which is the main reason I don't really use SM5 on my netbook to begin with. I've tested it and it's shown disappointing results. However, I can't wait to show Last Approach to my friend who's been running CS8 on their SM5.

Have you tried using the Low version of the theme? I'm told they're meant for low-end computers.

I honestly don't think it will help in my case. SM5 runs pretty slow on my system, even with the "Barebone" theme, which is REALLY minimal.

I noticed a couple of issues with LAST APPROACH, one of which is also in CS8. There was an issue with sorting that puts some songs out of order. For example, LOVE & JOY (Risk Junk mix) was put before London wa Yoru 8 Ji, when it should be in reverse.
Another issue was that it uses banners on the songwheel if banners and jackets are present in the same folder. It'll use jackets if the banners are missing. Oddly, CS8 doesn't have this problem.

That's because it's an option. Poke around in the options menus for a bit, you can find where it determines that hierarchy. I'm at my work computer so I can't post specific directions but I know it's in there.
