Just as the title says. Come to think of it, I don't think any of the DDR machines here have all their songs unlocked. The DDRX3 closest to my place has a pretty scant selection, and it's missing lots of my favorites. Quite irritating. Does anyone know how to get more of the songs to appear for play? Do I need e-amusement? The machine's facade has a couple of USB ports for PS2 save data or something-- could that be it? If so, does anyone know where I can get such data? I never had a PS2. :/
Even if all the staff at the arcade are pretty incompetent, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask and see if they could access the console/back panel and make some changes. Of course, they wouldn't know what to do... Anyone have ideas? A tutorial, hopefully?

Where are you located? In the US?
You need e-AMUSEMENT for quite a big chunk of the entire songlist to appear.
USB ports are for EDIT DATA only, they can't unlock anything in X3.

is this at round 1? if so then it stays at no unlocks, unfortunately; UNLESS you have an e-amuse pass

I doubt Round1's X3 is still online at this point though, pretty sure KONAMI has stopped supporting DDR X3.

I'm in SEA, unfortunately. I guess that means the machine is offline. I don't even remember seeing a prompt for e-amusement every game, so yeah. Even if I did get a pass, it wouldn't work, huh?
This is depressing. I should just move to Japan.

It may be on PSun. Insert a flash drive into the usb ports. If it boots into the eamuse menu (asking for a 4-digit keycode), simply input the same pin number twice (this will be your permanent pin) to register your flash drive for eamuse access. Viola.
If nothing happens, or you don't have a number pad next to your machine to input a pin, your probably not on PSun.

I'm pretty sure that those USB ports are only for Edit Data, and I don't think running PSun on a public machine is even allowed.

I could be wrong, but I thought X3 didn't boot without eamuse support.

No, that's only for DDR 2013 and up, X3 can still boot up without any network connection.

X3 can boot just fine without e-Amuse, but no content will be unlocked. If it's not at R1 and is a legitimate cab with card readers, you may be able to fix that if you get in touch with the right people.
Also, PSun is not used in arcades. It's not intended for any public location and has a strict not-for-profit rule.

Untrue. X3 has certain phases that may or may not be unlocked depending on when the machine was taken offline. For example, the machine at PHM has nothing unlocked, but the one at Lakewood has many unlocks including Go For The Top and PARANOiA Revolution.

Ah okay, whoops. I was under the initial assumption it functioned similarly to other Bemani titles where the unlock/phase state is not stored locally.

Anyways since the game was never connected to e-amuse at any point it is not really possible to unlock any songs officially. Also I believe you are in a location that officially supports e-amusement in some fashion so you won't have much luck with bootleggers giving you a hand to unlock content or get machines on Programmed World.

If the machine is offline, then the only solution is to have a patch disk to unlock (almost) everything...

i saw a X3 machine in a SEA country where all songs are locked by default and the annoying name entry bug. which will force the machine to restart everytime. quite disapointing. still cannot find the patch for this: ver. KDX:A:B:A:2011110501
also mentioned Tau barred PW access to SEA countries where e-amuse is available.

I saw an offline DDRX3 machine in Jakarta (indonesia) which has been unlocked (except the Tsugidoka songs).. I still have no idea how the arcade operator had managed to have an unlocked offline DDRX3.

incorrect, that's part of the 20121126 patch, which is the last patch for X3. possible to get it if you take the machine off eAMUSE after it's patched. with it you have access to all the standard extra stages, all the EVOLVEDs including Tohoku EVOLVED, TMEvo, ParaRevo and LOVE IS THE POWER -Re:born- and REVOLUTIONARY ADDICT and Go For The Top... plus the Daily Specials and the Append Travel songs (and all the possible Challenge charts in EXTRA STAGE)
basically everything but ENJOY LEVEL unlocks and the 2ndMIX revivals.

You might not have to run e-amuse to be able to obtain the updates. The operator might have connected to the online server to obtain the updates and that was all. I'm not really sure how else he could have gotten the last update without buying a used kit.
