OMEGA GX Livestream!

I scheduled a live stream at 1:00 on July 2 to review and test the Omega GX pad I just got. The live stream should last for at least an hour. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the pad by using YouTube comments. There will be a modification to the pad to make it sturdier. There is no guarantee the live stream will start at 1:00 but I will do my best to make it happen.

What kind of mod are you doing to it? I own a GX and an ITGX, and I made a heavy duty base, but I wouldn't call that a mod.

1:00 Pacific time zone. So right now for me its 11:14. I am making a mod that holds the pad in place better than duct tape, and holds the flimsy eternet pad output in place so nothing breaks. I am going to play DDR on my PS2. I wanted to use Stepmania, but it was super laggy when recording. I have DDR Max, DDR Max 2, DDR Supernova 2, and DDR X, all US versions. Any other song you want me to play I will play in a non-livestream after the livestream. Please support me as this is my first livestream.

Instead of using duct tape use this for the pad. It should be available in either carpet shops or with home goods (sorry, as European I don't know the US shops, Home Depot was US based?).



I use it in my setup and can pass even Delirium [12] without pad moving a bit.

Hah you misunderstood me. The pad is made with duct tape already. I am securing it to a piece of wood with strong material that holds it in place. Hard to explain.

Actually the gorilla tape is there to simply protect your feet from the edge of the pad, you can remove it entirely if you want and if you have a means for securing the ethernet jack TELL ME NOW!!!! I really want to know how I can do that better.

Here's my pad, it's basically two pads in one, you can see I don't have any gorilla tape around my pad, but the ethernet jack is hanging by the wires. Again, you can remove the gorilla tape and you don't have to use anything else.


Yes, that is the pad I play on, it's Omega GX doubles and YES it is a big floor poster as well.

Its finished. I had lots of fun, and also improved my scores a lot. Sorry that the live stream didn't work out. But this will be just as good. I played 21 songs, burned 1000 calories, and played for hours. I can't wait to publish the improvements. Some of the songs I passed:

So you built a cradle to hold the ethernet jack, good job, but I advise against a cradle base to keep the pad itself portable. Also did you have any trouble with the pad on the carpet before this mod????

If you remove the top piece of duct tape, the pad can be taken out. On carpet it bends A LOT.
