As far as I know, their iOS versions are the only versions that are being well-kept and updated by BEMANI, I don't think they have ever delved into the PC realm before (actually they have one time with DDR for PC, but look how far that game went), so this idea may not work out as well as you might think.

So I guess from now on, if we wanna play DDR, we're going to have learn how to speak Japanese.

You're missing the point. I played DDR 2013, and I was easily able to find the songs I wanted to play just by looking at the CD artwork. You don't really need to know Japanese in order to play these games, and if you need help navigating the menu, I'm sure someone that's close by can help you out.
DDR2014 is in full Japanese.

Again, it isn't too hard.
Also, if you're dedicated enough to the series to actually play 2014, you're going to know the menus and tracklist inside and out anyway. The songs have 'menu samples' so you don't need English to point out what you're going to play.

The Okie's way to fix it all:
- DanceDanceRevolution: Alpha and Omega (Sort of an old meets new thing.)
- The default, initial song list would contain a mishmash, maybe about 80 songs of old favorites (AM-3P, Paranoia, Trip Machine, Max 300, etc.) as well as most of X3 vs 2nd Mix content. (The new originals, crossovers, boss songs, KAC stuff, etc.)
- Every now and then, maybe a week or every other week, a song pack would be released, which would possibly be an "Alpha Pack" and an "Omega Pack." Alpha packs would be 4 older songs, and Omega packs would be 4 songs of DDR2013/2014 content.
- Multiplatform release, and even a version on Steam. (Inb4 Stepmania, it's not the same.)
- Online play, including national/global rankings.
- Perhaps eventually the series would catch up the arcade releases, so we'd have our Bemani Academy, Bemani Baseball, etc., by the end of the year.
But of course, I'm just talking out of my ass, and I'm 99.99% sure this will never be read by a Konami rep, nor will I ever get about $5,000,000 or whatever to throw at their face in order to get them to make the damn game. After the pathetic sales of DDR II, I think they've hung up their dance shoes for console releases. In the end, it was fun while it lasted; at least we got to go out with a bit of a bang. (Getting Replicant-D-Action in a console release, no doubt.)

Unless they find a way to make DDR into a Madden game or a Call Of Duty/Titanfall/Battlefield/Generic Military FPS Series #432 game, you're better off waiting for Half Life 4.
