Hi, I'm not 100% sure where to put this at all since it's still about gaming but it's also about the software I have no idea...

I found a little indention sort of in my Final Fantasy IX disc. Here's the best picture I can get of it:

There is a little indention on the side, and if you can notice a bit of the disc now sticks out further than the rest of the disc making it uneven. This seems to actually affect the game itself, as my characters take minutes to load into any battle. It also seems to make a strange noise while it's spinning and after a little bit of looking it almost seems like it gets stuck?

I'm here to ask if there's any way to fix it. I can still return it but I'd rather see if there is a remedy to this before and have to find a working copy elsewhere.

If your disc is off balance, adding a little bit of Scotch tape on the top of the disc on the light side might help (to add just a touch of weight). I wouldn't recommend trying to remove plastic though to solve any balance problems.

Must a have been a bad pressed disc or something and the QA missed it.

I attempted the scotch tape method but to no avail, it continued to load slowly.

Hopefully it's not just a defect, though it probably is. I'm resorting to bringing it back tomorrow and get the seller's opinion on it to see if they can identify the problem/fix it.
