My guess is that early 4thMix machines had this original banner, but the title (and banner/BG) was changed in an update and in 4thPLUS.

For the record, I found this banner/BG set when I first downloaded my simfiles 3 years ago.

as far as i know, 4th mix has the name for it as "ninzaburo" while 4th+ and 5th have it as furuhata's theme, so while i dont know WHY it was changed, that should answer the when.

Yes, 4th had the original artwork and 4th Plus on had the new artwork. I always liked the original font style better though. I remember hearing that the artist of the song (through Toshiba EMI) decided to change the title and Konami (for some reason) decide to honor that change. Something to do with the song being based off an existing song and the original title was misleading somehow. It still makes little sense given how many mis-titled songs from Dancemania are in the series, most of them Konami's fault.

It seems they forgot. Since the day it was released, Trip Machine X-Special displayed no CD. Only X ES/EES song that doesn't IIRC.
