SM Para para paradise / parastar HELP!

Hello everyone!
One of my favorite dance games, para para paradise, was released for stepmania (i think 4?) with drivers for the PPP ps2 sensors.
I was in the process of making PPP3rd mix last year (with over 100 songs) and the computer crashed
Ive been searching for the SM app, with driver support for the usb ps2 ppp sensors FOREVER! and the PPP/parastar theme for stepmania.


They had a parastar website with the download...but its been down for a year
stepmania.com forums offer no help...

anyone can help me here or have it backed up?
I cant offer you anything but it would REALLY help me, as i have bad knees now and cant play ddr....

edit- what im looking for is stepmania drivers for ps2 PPP support. and getting it working

Setting aside the theme problem for now, if you plug the sensors in and use SM5, do they show up on the Test Input screen?

i will try tonight after work, i dont remember it working but its been awhile.
will download freshest SM app and plug in usb controller.

theme not important as i am making my own..again

just need the program to recognize the sensors and be able to change the step arrows to the 5 key para steps(para support)

I was surprised! both 4 and 5 SM had support for the controllers. This is amazing! ::cheers::

now im having trouble finding noteskins for PPP. I know 3.0 SM has a PPP theme, but i belive last time i tried to use that theme on a newer SM it crashed. Would anyone happen to have the noteskins/theme/ so I can start making arrow charts for para para paradise 3rd mix?

It appears that SM5 comes with a "Para" noteskin already. You should be able to use the default theme, or any other theme that supports Para mode.

Could I get that Parastar build? *PMs Faiz* I'm trying to find a driver for my ps2 ppp controller and I've had no luck. I really want to use the controller outside of stepmania for an interactive installation I'm working on in school. Any info on the ps2 ppp controller is much appreciated

I apologize for bumping a year-old thread, but I too am looking for the SM SSC Parastar build. clubparastar.com is gone. I found a torrent for the theme, songs, etc but it's dead (no seeders). PM'ed Faiz, but no reply.

If anyone has a backup of it, please let me know! I'd like to help keep PPP alive

Thank you, TikalFan9000! Worked very well! Now to go play with some stepcharts to make my own dances out of my favorite songs I ordered a PPP controller, and I can't wait for it to arrive!!! *excited*

Did anybody have success in creating new songs or builds? I revisit this idea on a regular basis but haven't made much progress on my own.

for all i know, no known later builds of this exist, and Para simfiles are as equally hard to find
i remember trying to make a project based on the parapara kyouten 0 video, but i lost the files

I still have the build and files I sent to a few people on here, but I had trouble creating new note charts (which I thought would've been easier than it was). Been wondering if it would be easier at this point to just make a new PPP clone in Unity and redo every song from scratch. Not sure how it'll react to the USB controller, though... /shrug
