REFLEC BEAT groovin'!! Upper (AC) (Japan)

I haven't had a chance to listen to the soundtrack, but I'm not that excited. To me more tracks is boring.

Edit: Ok, listened. My conclusion: REFLEC BEAT gets all the cool songs.

Wouldn't call it the best soundtrack release, though.

I'd listen to the soundtrack if I knew of a way that I could without getting a Japanese address / credit card.

Actually I was playing SHION earlier today and was wondering why it didn't have a Special chart yet. The Hard chart was pretty fun, but this one just looks like a massive clusterpuck for a regular 10.

It's kind of a given that it'll eventually happen. No official announcement yet, though.

And Reflec Beat groovin' Upper has been announced!

That's a surprising fast Append!
So far, nothing was explained about it, but I'm looking forwrd to it (though, considering how often Reflec has updates, it doesn't feel that necessary)
At least, I hope we'll finally get the final Dan ranking (that is in the trophy data since a long time already)
I wonder also if the on-going event with Bahamut and co. will continue or not (I'm not going to destroy 100 Bahamut at this speed...)

It was like that when they did seasonal updates for REFLEC BEAT colette (I believe it was every 3 months).

More info on groovin' Upper was shown on the new BE生 stream:

* New Upper Gauge/Upper Point. It appears as a circle in the middle of the screen. I didn't catch a lot of info on how it works, but it can be used to unlock new customization options.
* Announcer during gameplay. Combos in multiples of 100 and Upper Gauge levels are announced.
* "Expert"-style song select screen similar to IIDX.
* Hard and Super Hard clear mode.

I don't think any other BEMANI game/series has had this feature outside of DDR (correct me if I'm wrong). I hope they got a good announcer.

To complete a bit about the use of Upper Point, so far 2 use have been announced
。playing yet-unlocked song for one stage
。accessing the [behind]-Mystical Strike (is it new boss or new versions of the already existing Mystical Strike song is unknown)

This new select style screen looks nice, I only fear that you won't be able to see at first glance if your score is pink or not (aka, if you got a better score than the previous versions)
Same for the Hard/Super Hard mode, it looks fun

However...Reflec Upper, Voltex III, ☆12 and new on IIDX, new songs on pop'n and Jubeat...that's too much at once!!
