Hi. I'm wondering if there's any guide to building a SOUND VOLTEX controller because I want to build one to play K-Shoot Mania more stimulating.
There's no SOUND VOLTEX around my area so I can't measure it.
Also, besides guide, arcade part site for the controller would be great too.

I build a Pop'n Music Controller before so I feel like I can build another but I can't any guide.

I was actually looking to build one as well as I'm sad at a lack of Sound Voltex in Norcal.
Looking on how to build the controller I found this:
http://homingpuyo.blog91.fc2.com/blog-entry-650.html

which is a very detailed guide on how to build the SDVX controller with a parts list and even an Inkscape file that has button locations and sizes correctly measured. I intend to build mine a bit differently (Planning on using an Teensy ATMega32u4 as a controller), but the method in the link looks sure to work. If there's any parts you're confused about or need translation on, let me know.

This guide is incredible. I'd love to try doing this. I can't read Japanese though, and I'm not sure how much I trust Google translate!

I'm going to try sourcing some parts, and then I might get back to you.

I know this isn't helping those that actually wanna build one, but why not just buy one from DJ DAO that is arcade accurate down to the knobs and graphics:

> DAO SDVX controller
> $399 NOT including shipping and NOT including premium sanwa buttons + knobs
> $529 total price. Shipping may add an additional charge depending on where you live.

I know it's a DAO but jesus wooshing christ that is just too much for one controller :/

Well is it a trustworthy site? Or should I steer clear?

Trust me when I say that is not a good controller. The quality is equivalent to ddr game controllers, only works for a few weeks until its broken.

Get a djdao simple for an entry to the series, or a turbocharger for a well built and lasting controller.
