I feel really bad for people who just got Pokemon Black and White 2. That game is not even 2 years old and it's online is getting pulled.

Well this definately answers my question about Mario Kart Wii that I posted in another thread.
I know that this would never happen, but if they were to discontinue Wii Shop Channel I hope they give everyone the opportunity to download as many games as they want for free. Like I said it would never happen.

They were pretty much waiting for Pokemon Bank to through this one on us.

I'm almost temped on May 19th getting on MK Wii's online one more time. Also it would give me ready for MK8.

What they would most likely do is when they have it so that the games can be transferred to their respective successor console, they would allow everyone to transfer the games over, and after a set date, shut down the Wii Shop, and DSi Shop. And I believe i could happen soon after the online is shut down, as already all DSi feature work with the 3DS, and are available on the 3DS, never mind it's DS games backwards compatible.
I say that we should all get together and do a few rounds in Mario Kart, and Brawl before they shut down the service.

Looks like I'll have to buy a Wii U & Mario Kart 8 to get my fix now. 
Edit: or play Mario Kart 7, but I don't really like playing on my 3DS.

Speaking of Mario Kart, I was kind of worried that I would never finish unlocking all the characters in MK Wii (seeing that Birdo and Toadette were the only 2 that have Wi-Fi as a condition to unlock, though they have alternate conditions), but I can unlock the rest without Wi-Fi. Right now Dry Bowser has to be by far the hardest character for me to unlock. 150cc is a bitch as this game can seriously punish you like a mofo.

Good luck with Rosalina then (unless you have Galaxy then you're a lucky person). She's a total pain. Took me a week just to get her from the Mirror class. I can't really do a flawless run of Wario's Gold Mine.
I'm ok with this though. It's not like I have anything to play on my Wii that much. I wonder how MKW Custom Track people are going to handle this. Maybe they'll run private servers like what others are doing with Technika 3?
Although now it seems like hackers and can do anything on the Wii now once they get it going.

Yep I was lucky I had a chance to rent Mario Galaxy about a month or two or more (can't quite remember) before my local Blockbuster went out.
