The most embarrassing moment for me was accidentally hitting my foot on the metal of the arcade dance floor I had to limp because that hurts a lot

Slipped and fell down on my knees. It was the first time I played DDR on an arcade machine.

And then there's a time when I attracted a crowd. I received an applause after clearing the first and second stage but I failed at the third. Good thing they left before I could fail. (The applause was pretty refreshing, though)

I had a similar incident but with the angry Lego men that appear from the corners of the screen during the BGA for Saint Goes Marching.
I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen at the time and couldn't stop laughing.

This was in some random arcade in Shinjuku and the people around me had no idea what I was laughing at and were looking at me like I was some sort of madman.

At least you were 12. I had no excuse as I was 21 at the time.

Actually, those are Playmobils. I used to have them when I was young, though I do get why you mistook them for LEGOs.

As for embarrassing DDR moments, I'm going to have to stretch it a little since it was an oITG tournament. Essentially...I fell for the $800 mine, not in the same song (this was Starry Eyed ([Jakwob ]Remix)), but it was particularly embarrassing because I had successfully done a spin which wowed the crowd yet ended up losing the song specifically because of that mine. I did win the match best of 3 though, and got eliminated later.

Ah yeah I haven't seen the BGA in about 5 years. Just saw it on youtube and indeed they are Playmobil people.

I remember them being angrier too.

Nothing more embarassing/annoying than hitting a Shock Arrow/Mine in my opinon.

I once pulled a calf muscle playing ITG2, and fell off the dance pad.

I once ended up playing PSMO and ended up getting a "B" on it, not the greatest but the arcade I used to go to had an awful machine that tended to have pad misses a lot

after the song ended, turned around and 5 people from my school are just sitting there recording it, and to this day I have no clue what happened to the video's they recorded of me, gasping for breath of the intense crossover's of PSMO

I stomped on a nut and I stop playing ,while many people are looking at me.

I was playing Afronova at a D&B during the summer with a crowd of people behind me, and as I was going through one of the jumping sections, my right foot slipped, and that was the end of that. I was honestly surprised I didn't slip to the point where I went off.

Another moment of mine was a recent one. You see, I was trying to pass Magic Door on Extreme, and I failed; and then I went on a brief cussing rage for some odd reason, and got called out on it from the Manager. Outcome proved that I kinda took the fact that I was alone in the arcade a bit too far.

I was playing the song U R Wierd M8 (MGD3) on HARD, after the stream of 295, I failed and started to pant heavily. Then on the last jump freeze, I fell over and almost body slammed a person.

It' too bad I don't see her there anymore, because I always go to that mall.
Always remembered there was a SuperNOVA machine possibly hacked, I saw METAL arrows, what do I remember? I was like 8-10 when I saw that machine. Apparently, I never got to play on it since I was too scared to fail. NOW THAT'S EMBARRASSING FOR ME.

Incidentally last Saturday playing doubles I thought I blew out my knee, but through another song on doubles it felt like I managed to blow it back in.

This week has proved that no, I very definitely did not blow it back in.

This one time I decided to play in flip flops, and my flip flop flew off my foot mid-song and hit some lady. She wasn't angry about it though, she just laughed. Still embarrassing.

once when I was around 8-9 years old, I went to an arcade with my parents, got on the machine and tried to play BAG expert. being young, I had no clue speedmods existed.

tl;dr: played BAG x1 expert and failed horribly

Pretty recently I went on a trip to the beach with some of my friends, and a few of them who had seen me play were really talking me up to everyone else. We kept looking for a machine through the trip, and when we finally found one it was a pretty only PIU machine with some crappy pads. It's one of the most awkward things when you have a crowd that's all excited to see you play, but then you can hardly pass a song, and you're like "no guys, it's the machine, I promise!"

i was about to mention the time i urinated while playing afronova primeval but then i realized i started this thread and it was my example of an embarrassing moment
