Sharing my Supernova Minimaid setup for those interested. I mounted my PC and Minimaid to a board and slid it in my machine this weekend.

DTDSphere - A lot of the newer graphics cards arent working with soft15khz since soft15 is getting older and older. I also don't think quickres works with Windows 7 at all from what I'm hearing from others (again why I recommend Windows XP.) As other people get alternate software to work would you post what you use? Thanks!

Also, all PMs responded too. Got some purchases in! I'll be doing a shipment weekend of the 23rd. Thanks again guys!

May I know what's the use of a USB port beside VGA port in minimaid?

OpenITG uses profile data on USB cards, so the ports let you connect a USB card in order to store your personal scores and not having to type your initials for high scores.

I use USBDLM (http://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbdlm_e.html) to map those USB ports to a specific letter and then configure OpenITG to see P1 and P2 as those letters.

Does this mean, USB slots in BEMANI-PC cab should work too?

I encountered the newer cards not working with Soft15 thing before I realized my Supernova machine has a direct VGA connection.

One way to solve it would be to get an ArcadeVGA card which are still sold. They have a normal port and the arcade 15khz port so you can debug easier.

With this card I don't think you even need Soft15, actually...

I fixed the display issue by having only the quickres set to 640x480 and no soft15khz installed in the machine, and used WinXP too. My video card I assume is newer model too (AMD Radeon HD 5800 series). Board is same as yours.

If you have installed soft15khz, try to uninstall it during VGA mode.

Anybody have a pic of a Japanese cab setup? I've seen several Korean setups and I want to get an idea based on what others have done with Japanese cabs.

Thanks for all the extra info!!! I was mainly curious as to how you had the pc/minimaid setup which I'm most likely going to do the same as you as far as the pc. I actually have a bemani pc setup and ready to go because my machine didn't come with a ITGIO or a 573 Sad Thanks again Big Grin

I'm on Windows XP and the graphics card has been used in the past with a JPAC. Also, I've tested the inputs and I've found only 2 buttons work, the 'insert coin' button and the operator button.

my test button is the only one that doesnt work... my service button (the one that puts a ton of coins in when my 573 is plugged in) does give me credits when im playing ITG

DTDSPhere, have you tried some simple things like reseating the JAMMA connector? Please keep me in the loop with how things are going with your board. As I've stated before all boards are completely tested before they ship out but I still understand when there are troubleshooting problems that arise. Confettiarcade please go ahead and send me a PM.

Sorry for the long time away. I wen't on vacation at GenCon then since I've been back I've had an ER level situation at my work place in which I'd end up leaving my laptop at work since I'd go home straight from the hospital. I'm actually on at work posting back to you all. My plan is to hopefully do a shipment this weekend or next at the latest. I currently have three boards purchased to ship off: DancingMatt, Sk8mag, MooingLemur.

I've posted back to some and I'll post back to the rest tomorrow. THanks again guys!
