Since this does not natively support Windows 7, can someone tell me who uses Windows 7 and this in an Extreme Cabinet tell me a) if its functioning as it should and b) did they have to tweak/modify any settings? A PM would be appreciated, thank you! Smile

It runs just fine on Windows 7 (my cab is extreme as well). Just remember don't install Stepmania or OITG (whichever you use) in Programs folder because you will run into some issues, put it in my documents or something.

yea it runs fine on win 7... just need to tweak a few minor things and make sure youre gfx card can run soft 15 khz and 640x480 ... also make sure to turn vsync off ( i had a problem with it lagging where the arrows would stop but were still on ...it was vsync). if youre gonna use the oitg2 installer there is a problem with it somewhere where it will talk about parse error in line 8... go to home>metrics.ini> and look for this near the bottom

[ScreenGraphicOptionsBasic]
Fallback=ScreenOptionsSubmenu
CapitalizeAllOptionNames=0
LineNames=1,2,3,4,5,6,7
OptionMenuFlags=together;forceallplayers;explanations;smnavigation
Line1=conf,Windowed
Line2=lua,LuaGraphicOptions()
Line3=lua,LuaSetAspectRatio()
Line4=lua,LuaSetResolution('4:3')
Line5=lua,LuaSetResolution('16:10')
Line6=lua,LuaSetResolution('16:9')
Line7=list,Advanced Graphic Options

there will be an 8 in line names that causes that.... just delete it and restart oitg Note: it should look like that ^

So guys my 3DS died a couple weeks ago. Tried some replacement parts on ebay to fix it sadly to no avail. It still turns on and functions enough that I can do a system transfer off of it so I'm hoping to square away a 3DS.

If you've been wanting a minimaid and haven't had the financial means, and also happen to have a 3DS you wouldnt mind trading then we could possibly work out a deal.

Looking for a regular 3ds, not xl, not really 2ds however if you have a 2ds you can contact me about it. Doesnt have to come with anything special on it as Ill be wiping it anyway. Color doesnt matter. Looking to value the 3DS as the $100 mark as that is a fair price and what I bought my wife's and my 3ds for in the past.

Please PM me if interested.

Got a 3DS coming so that is taken care of. I currently have 5 minimaids that will be going out this upcoming weekend. As many of you know I do shipments about once a month to allow minimaid purchases to get together and also for the fact that I drive out to BFE to get to my post office.

For those of you that have messaged me but havent gotten back with me about making a purchase or just those of you that would like to make a purchase now is a great time to do it as I should have all purchases out in this upcoming weekend's mail. Feel free to message me if you would like to make a board purchase!!

So I purchased an Extreme cab. I'm picking it up today (yaaaaay). I know I need to buy one of these Minimaids. I have other questions though, since I have 0 experience with arcade machine DIY or related stuff.

How particular does my graphics card have to be? I wanna get this converted to ITG/SM as cheaply as possible.

I read that http://mame.3feetunder.com/windows-ati-crt-emudriver/ was a newer alternative to Soft15khz software. Is this true?

Thanks.

Sorry for the unexpected delay guys that have bought a board. I got sick over the weekend and wanted to steer clear of the boards while I was contagious. I'm feeling a bit better now but sadly working. Ive brought the boards with me to work and my hope it to catch a break in between work activities to attempt to package them up and drop them off at the post office after work in the morning. Wish me luck!

Since Bemanistyle went away unexpectedly I've had to think of a new base to hold sales of the Minimaid Product. I have a longer FAQ underneath but the basic idea is Minimaid is a direct plug and play device that will allow you to run Stepmania and OpentITG from your PC directly to your Dance Dance Revolution Arcade Machine. Purchasing information is listed below the FAQ.

PM'd you about a purchase. Can I verify that this is a necessary component to convert DDR to ITG/SM? Complete newbie here.

Minimaid is an item you can use, yes. I consider it the best available out of a variety of options (which include jpac, itgio, and the konami io).

I do not offer the conversion for ITG but rather oITG (open itg) as ITG is the arcade release. SM (stepmania) is included along with open itg in the download link on the first page. The versions offered there are converted to work with minimaid. Also included are videos of the device working with the arcade machine (lights, play test, etc) in both open itg and stepmania. Hopefully that has answered your question. Message me again if you would like to make a purchase! =)

RyogAkari, out of curiosity, would you be able to produce other pcb's besides the minimaid for a ddr cabinet? One in particular that I'm interested in, is the one that reads all the sensors in the pads. I forget what it's called, but if one of those ever go bad or get damaged then the right or left side pad would be completely useless and those boards are becoming harder to find.

Ah, yes! That's what it's called. I don't have a need for one right now, but I currently maintain a stepmania converted DDR machine and I was just trying to find someone that could make something similar to that PCB board if I ever needed one.

I recently got a Minimaid from a friend and am having a little trouble setting it up.

The dip switches, assuming you were laying it flat with the pins pointing up. Does the switch being down means it's on or off?

Also, the manual does not mention what every dip switch does. Could you go through what dip switch 1 - 8 do? Except for 4, 5 & 6.

Mine hasn't. Probably just missed it, no big deal Smile Was just wondering when you were shipping mine back out (we were testing to see if the upper right Marquee light was working for you).

I just cannot get any video out from the Minimaid, I've tried everything but the screen is always blank. At least the lights work.
I've used quickres + soft15khz exactly the way the manual says, I've used a DVI to VGA cable to check if it were the problem, didn't make a difference, screen still black.

I have dip switch 4, 5 and 6 on so it;s on free range mode and still not even a flicker from my monitor.

My screen is not broken, it works fine with my 573. What could be the problem?

with mine quickres didnt do shit... i had to set mine in Rightclick>screen res >advanced settings>list all modes and then finally click 640x480 "30hz" interlaced(for me at least)...i had it go to xX720 and it would stay on for a quick min then it would go black ... if soft15khz installed correctly you will see it say something like running or uninstall as one of the buttons... now the other thing is my card has 2 ports, an hdmi and a dvi... i had to select the dvi as a main to make sure (hdmi still works as a clone) you can do that by right click >screen res and you should see customize your displays i would hit detect then click the other one and you should see a check box that says make this my main display....if that still doesnt work check your card for compadability with soft15khz......

Sharing my Supernova Minimaid setup for those interested. I mounted my PC and Minimaid to a board and slid it in my machine this weekend.
