How do referrral codes work? And does anybody know how I can get past the mission that requires me to recommend three friends?

As far as I know, only one referral code could be used; You give out your referral code and hope that 15 people type that.

You must have 3 or more friends who has no Technika Q in their Kakao account.

thanks for replying quickly! damn, how would someone pass the mission in which they must recommend friends? It seems like it would be really difficult and tedious to reach the other missions if one must pass this one first.

also, is there a reason why I'm not ranked online? I'm level 10, but it says I'm "out of rank" for 2 lines, 3 lines, and both. It also says my total score is 0, which is not possible, since I'm level 10...

Is there anybody who is ranked, then? That sounds like a huge problem.

Does anybody know anything about the item upgrades right before loading a song? It seems that those item upgrades aren't temporary, unlike almost every other item you can buy in the shop. Or maybe I'm not actually using any of those item upgrades, I don't know. I have all three items upgraded once.

From what I've seen, the ranking system is a bit finicky when it comes to actually ranking you in the first place. I've been playing Q for about 3 or 4 weeks now, and only just last week did the game start to display something other than "out of rank" for me. I want to say that it has something to do with reaching a certain amount of points, but it could just be that the server Neowiz uses for the ranking system is bad at keeping track of things. (Case in point, half the time the friends' scores that are supposed to show up when you go to select a song don't even load...)

As for the upgrades that you can buy before a song, they are indeed permanent. As I'm sure you're aware, each level of these upgrades costs more and more max points, but they're actually worth putting funds into, unlike some of the other things you can buy. For example, upgrading the "Fever Plus" will grant you a larger multiplier for fever bonuses (I think; it could just be a larger fever multiplier). Additionally, getting it up to level 10 will allow you to use fever three times instead of two, so I highly recommend dumping points here before you go for the other upgrades on offer.

I did a bit of experimenting and I concluded that Fever doesn't give you extra points. All Fever does is give you MAX 100% for the duration. For example, if you were to hit Fever and after it finished you got Fever Bonus = 0 (right on top of the line that divides both lanes), that means all the notes you tapped during Fever were at their most accurate reading level, which is MAX 100%.

MAX accuracy / points towards score
100% = 200
90% = 180
80% = 160
70% = 140
60% = 120
50% = 100
40% = 80
30% = 60
20% = 40
10% = 20
1% = 1

Using this formula, if you see that you got Fever Bonus = 20, that means ONE tapped note was 90% while the rest were 100%.

Because of this finding, I can safely state that Fever Bonus does not give you extra points. Therefore, Fever Plus can not grant you a larger multiplier on Fever Bonuses.

In fact, the only thing Fever Plus does is add the amount of time it stays active. Look at the Arabic numbers when you highlight the item and you'll see the current duration of your upgrade. I'm not at level 10 for Fever Plus just yet, so I can't confirm what you said about tapping three times instead of two, but I believe you.

In the shop there are two DJ items that you can buy that are in the same tab as all the DJ icons/characters. One is blue with a vest in the middle and the other is green with a nucleus symbol. I think the blue one is anti-break for the entire song, but I'm not sure what the green one is. Does anybody know? I don't feel like spending Q points just to find out.

Oh, also, the anti-break item is so broken at level 10. It's absolutely ridiculous... >.>

Anti-break lv 10 actually helps me though. my phone is so laggy that it can throw me lots of Breaks even though I actually pressed it on time. it helps me A LOT when I'm trying to Perfect Play some song
