All I can say is that they revived both 5-key and Mambo a Go-Go at the same time

A rhythm game I saw just today. Don't know if it's been posted here before.
This appears to focus on the EDM genre, and EDM only.
A lot of famous labels and artists are on here, such as Monstercat, Pegboard Nerds, Symbion Project (used to be a artist for games like Amplitude and Frequency), Freezepop, Rogue, Virtual Riot, and a whole lot more people.
Some gameplay footage of Synthesized 2013 by Symbion Project
Looks like Pop n' Music's button sizes. But even larger than that.
What do you guys think of this interesting game? Currently available at Round One in Lakewood CA and a couple other locations.
Oh, right. Should probably give out a couple more links besides the one in the logo.
what even is this game
심지어 이 게임 은 무엇인가
pics n vids
locations (should probably update arcades with this
info)
buy it (6,495 USD base, 6,695 w/ ticket support)
some of the radical artists in this
tracklist as of 14-09-04
company/publisher site

I'm going to be honest here and say that this really isn't that impressive (to me at least), although the gameplay does look cool in 3D and that it's does resemble 5 button pop'n music mode (this is the only nice comment i have about it so far), it's actually too played out and stuff and it doesn't actually look too original to me.

It's different because PiU is coming from a company that has some ties to Cranky with him actually being hired as sound director and appearing alongside familiar artists he has worked with. (Paul Bazooka, SHK, DM Ashura)
This is a company that has next to no connection to Doujin circles and somehow got Cranky and siromaru to work with them. I'm not saying this is bad, but it's bizarre to see two of Japan's most notable rhythm game artists in an almost fully American game. Especially how starkly different their music is compared to it's competition. Perhaps Japan Rhythm Games effect more than estimated?

I do remember that Neon FM was originally supposed to be a dance game; they had a prototype cabinet, a distribution deal with Betson, and even a launch party. And then DDR SuperNOVA happened...

He also had a few songs in Neon back when it was a dancing game. It also had a ton of O2jam songs from what I remember.Post #37 · Posted at 2015-05-08 04:42:16pm 8.9 years ago

I Believe that konami took betson from them as their distributor and without another distribution channel they were dead in the water?
From what i remember the game was very near complete too

In recent news, NeonFM is getting an updated cabinet look designed by Andamiro for the Asian market.
