what's the story behind that PNS cab?
Back when bemanistyle was still around someone was selling it for like 500 bucks. I bought it. It works fine, other than a few minor issues that I need to fix. I need 4 more feet for the pads and I have to have custom brackets cut from a metal cutter. It COULD use a new monitor due to burn in but it's definitely playable. Just not at the moment due to being disassembled and in storage (we have moved since that picture was taken and don't have space for it in our current living space)

We have space for a smaller cab, such as a pop'n music so that's the main reason we're probably going with that first as the next cabinet we buy. We're getting a house sometime next year in which we'll be getting many more arcade machines.

500$? that's an incredible deal considering it's rarity

gl getting a pop'n cab; i would go to your place, but my parents dropping me off to some random guys house to play arcade games would make them think you're a pedophile; lol i need a fucking car...my parents are incredibly paranoid when it comes to that kind of stuff.

even though pop'n music/stage sounds like heaven >:C

"Yo dawg, I heard you like DDR..."
AA #100 is Burnin' the Floor Blue Fire.

http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/pictures/1009-1398815701.jpeg

However, I have postulated that PFC's do not also count in the AA count on ZiV. So I may actually have 105 AA's, with the real #100 being Raspberry Heart.

I will still consider BTFBF my ceremonial #100, but include PFC's in the increment in the future.

I also black-flagged Pink Rose finally. Shaved off 10 perfects as well, finally getting over 200 marvelous. If the weather weren't so disgusting (my shoes were really sticking to the pads), I'd have PA'd it. The battle for my next PFC is on.

heading out to celebration station tommorow, these are some charts I look forward to playing

didn't update this post, sorry

seems like the right side of the pad works better than the left side of the pad now (some of the pads on the left slide)

also on may 30th they're doing a special where every non-ticket game is free from midnight until 6 AM. i'm probably going to end up going, just because 6 hours of DDR on O.K pads beats me.

the event is called schools out lock in, yet i'm not even off of school yet when that event takes place.

"Grade A KONMAI Quality"
Dang I feel like I'm missing out cause I live here but don't play DDR Roll Eyes it seems like there's plenty of machines around.

Side note, does anyone know what happened to the Pop'n Music machine that used to be a Nexus many a moon ago? I'm guessing it's the one that's a Bird Bowl in Miami now, but I don't remember what edition it was.

Well, DDR Storm was sort of the premiere (or early premiere I guess) of DDR 2013 in Florida, but this premiere will be permanent Smile

This machine will be brought to Tampa on July 11th through the 13th for Metrocon 2014. So for those that don't have the means to go to Orlando for whatever reason and live close to the Tampa Bay Area, this will be your chance to come and play the hell out of it. I am also positive James will have e-amuse cards for sale during Metrocon so you can grab yours and keep it for the inevitable 'invasion' of BEMANI machines in Florida ;)

Also you will meet me there. But more priority on DDR 2013 pls :v

sweet, I actually get to play DDR 2013, awesome!

is the machine going to be set to event mode the entire time or do you still have to pay to use it?

Unfortunately you will have to pay to play on this machine, since Metrocon is not providing James and his machine with enough funds to cover the cost of transporting the machine from Orlando to Tampa, but I believe it should be .25 per song so depending on how many stages they set, it could be .50 for two songs or .75 for three (which is probably the method they are going to choose as this was the same method that they had it from last year).

But you have to consider, this is currently the ONLY machine in probably the Southeast portion of the United States that is running DDR 2013, one of 13/14 machines in the US currently, paying to play this is probably a god-send to those in the know, and for those not in the know and complain about having to pay to play, well, I'll just recite what I said above Tongue

I do also think there will be a tournament being run on 2013 (or maybe Extreme, unsure at the moment until James comes to clarify) seeing that it's started as a tradition ever since the DDR machine was brought back to Metrocon. It will be Standard Tech however, meaning the tournament is going to be set on the Standard/Difficult mode, BUT if both players agree they can play on Heavy/Expert and/or Challenge for the tournament.

Pretty hyped JUST for being able to help them with this, although I may be spending most of my time in the Game Room and not in the con itself, doesn't matter when it's 2013. Also xiga is in the process of getting a SDVX set-up along with a Pop N' Music arcade cabinet (priority for Pop N' lol), I am hoping to really score a permanent job and/or a better paying job so that I can get a DDR machine as well as a DAO/Gamo2 jubeat ASC running on a PC build with saucer on it. Granted it's been done already which I think it has. Eventually Central Florida will be getting a slew of BEMANI games within the next few years or so, looking forward to it Smile

Julian, we do not have a confirmed mix for MetroCon at this time. MetroCon information will be posted on the Team Oni Universe page: http://www.facebook.com/teamoniddr

If you're in the Orlando area, come out to the Geek Easy tonight and play 2013! Show these guys that their hard work was worth it to bring the new mix to us.

AA #125 is Caramelldansen Speedycake Heavy. It's also FC #90.

http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/pictures/1009-1402784047.jpeg

Playing DDR 2013 is pretty cool, but you have to figure a few things out. For example, if you don't insert your e-Amusement card instead of hitting start, you can't insert your card for that game. You'll have to time out before selecting a game mode if you want to put your card in.

********

I just realized this is going to be appended, but I wanted to share this.

Went to NASCAR Sports Grille, and got a pretty good shave on Can't Stop Fallin' In Love Speed Mix.

My previous record, exactly 30 days ago, was 37 greats and 2 misses.

http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/pictures/1009-1400321938[0].jpg

And this is what I got tonight.

http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/pictures/1009-1402877319.jpeg

I ended up with 36 more excellents, 21 fewer perfects, 21 fewer greats, and no misses. My big mess-up was a timing error on the third run of stomps (counting each set of consecutive arrows as one run, for a total of six). Don't know how I did that, or how I corrected it so well to finish with no misses and only 32 points off a PFC.

Me, but bad news.

No DDR 2013 Sad

Instead we will be having DDR X3 vs. 2ndMIX. Which is still good but, I was really looking forward to 2013 being there :/
