Hey guys, I need some tips a little thing.
I can pass almost every 13, on first try,
I can hold 32 measure long 170 bpm streams
I can reasonably stream at 180~190 too.
I even passed 2 14s...
But I just can't hold anything close and above 200bpm.
Take Above The Winter Moonlight (Cosmic Pope's chart), it's a Dragonforce 13 at 200 bpm with short 200bpm runs...
They literally kill me, it's not a stamina problem, I just can't handle the speed, my legs refuse to move correctly after 1 measure.
So, okay, I play on a soft pad and I use a crappy wooden chair as a bar, and this certainly doesn't help...
All the players around me didn't have trouble to stream at 200bpm, but that doesn't mean they can pass 14s...
Any simfile/training method/secret ninja technique that would be helpful ?
(Tachyon Packs are way too hard for me, even the few 12/13 are causing me trouble)

Well, if you can sustain 170 BPM that well, and 180~190 isn't that hard for you, it might just be reading speed that's your issue. You may need to tweak your reaction time.
* Try some 12s or even 11s at that speed. It's hard to find songs with 16ths that run at 200-210 BPM - there's not a whole lot of popular files in that range - but you'll have better luck looking for 24ths at 135-140 BPM. Of course, the 24ths usually take the form of short trills or runs in those files, but you'll be able to focus on them and then relax for other parts of the song.
* If you want to learn 16ths specifically, speedcore charts usually bridge 200 BPM. Some popular ITG step artists that step lots of things in the trans-200 range with varying difficulties are CondorTalon, TYLR, and CosmicPope (well natch lol). Look through DivinElegy if you haven't yet.
* Find a speed mod that helps you read 200+ well; if you don't have access to a machine with hacked mods, this might be a bit harder. Do you play on Overhead? Try Hallway.
I'm probably one of the worst people to give advice on this though because speed is a lot easier for me than stamina lol, but I hope this helps.

Try playing songs that you already know on higher speed rates (music speed not arrow speed), to slowly bring them upto the threshold you're trying to break. It'll be easier to get your hips and legs used to moving that quickly on songs that your already familiar with, and get your eyes accustomed to reading at that speed, with muscle memory as an assistance to help you intereperit the arrows.

Thanks for the replies
Yeah, my reading speed is crappy. I read m500... (I used to be a x1 nobar DDR player). But I can read clustered patterns, I play IIDX too so reading and understanding the patterns shouldn't be an issue. I'll try to speed this up anyway.
Oh, and I just can't read Hallway.
The problem with 200bpm 12s is that generally it's just 16th triplets, and I have a problem with 24ths, seriously my mind fucks up when I see them. I lost a round at a tournament because I couldn't pass Determinator
I'll try the files and speed rates

What I did to move faster is play easier songs between 9s and 12s which had short bursts at speeds between 200-250, and then manually made the bursts longer. Remember Disconnected? 8-measure long drills at 200, and then I used rate mods until I could do it at 280. Playing The Beginning on x1.5 also helped a lot.
Also seriously play Rainbow Tylenol awesome song

The only 200 bpm wall I am familiar with is the one which makes everything below 200 bpm seem painfully slow and boring. My best advice for dealing with that wall is to not play easier songs.

Well, I do play songs that are not easy for me, I'm getting somewhat better but it's still a painfully slow progress...

Don't mind that, he always says stuff like that now.
