Beware this is the set I had and mentioned in the other thread. I wasn't sure if it got released on the sites in the readme yet but it was.

AeronPeryton: you number frames 1-based. that is, 1-40 or 41-80. however, it is the standard, as far as i am aware, that frames are numbered 0 based (so 0-39, 40-79). both virtualdub and avisynth do that. if you ever want to systematically revise the vids, i ask that you consider this.

darkfeline: i want to comment that i want to release disc (CS) ripped max period and riyu videos as part of my project, which will be compatible with the old scripts/videos for them. they will likely be separate downloads that i will then offer next to the pack. i may get to it later today/tomorrow.

These look amazing! I'm really impressed!
However, I can't seem to extract the videos from the latter 2 files.
Can anyone help me out here?
Filler.

"Give me a steady beat."
It's a split archive. When you download all three parts and open the first part, you are looking at all of the videos in the archive.

These videos are meant to be used by people, not programs. From a human perspective counting starts at 1, not 0.

Given that the surrounding similar videos have different, but still ambiguous, names, probably nothing but a string of letters.

software for working with videos, that is used by people, such as avisynth and virtualdub, count 0 based. as in, that is how they present frame numbers to the user. there's a difference between targeting people, and dumbing down.

edit: if more subtle cuts are going to have to be made in the future (the equivalent of some A/B videos in my pack), this discrepancy is going to cause you massive headaches, as you constantly have to add or substract 1 for your videos.

"Give me a steady beat."
Anyways... First post updated with better structure, an update to the pack, the first of the background scripts, and some wonderful news regarding the project itself. The post is only half updated though, lot of stuff missing, I'll finish when I wake up. ...As well as explain why videos 10 and 18 got swapped.

I may be missing something here, but where are the rest of the BG scripts for the AC 6th songs?

They'd be nice to have imo, and you only posted one, is it possible to make a rar of all of them?

Will you post the DDRMAX2 scripts?

I will help you with them if you need.

The intention is to post everything. From 6thMIX to Fusion AC. If you want to help by posting scripts go right ahead, but also post a video of the actual script playing so everything can be confirmed.

And don't forget that you're using the videos from THIS pack. Which means all videos are at 30fps and named as they are on the discs.

"Give me a steady beat."
First post updated, some more scripts added (I'm busy still, but I'll find time to keep adding to them somehow), the first 10 numbered videos have been given their official names and the master pack has been updated with all changes made so far. Seems not all the videos start with J.

Before, videos 10 and 18 were organized backwards. The videos formerly numbered 1 ~ 10 are from 6thMIX, and 11 ~ 18 are from 7thMIX, and on. The 7thMIX videos take up the same space in the same file as the 6thMIX ones, overwriting the previous ones. This is why some scripts get altered in 7thMIX - some of the videos they call simply no longer exist on the disc.

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW has slight timing errors because I don't feel like mathing hard enough to extrapolate how many video frame are displayed per beat. It'll get fixed later.

Right now, I am unable to make most of the DDRMAX2 scripts.

I know I can do FANTASY and STAY, but everything else has videos in pingpong. This doesn't come with pingpong videos.

I tried putting a video at -100 speed, and it crashes Stepmania. :/

I have a MORE THAN I NEEDED TO KNOW script. I want to convert all videos to the ones in this pack and post the script.

Unfortunately, it's the pink blob thingy (jswwwa, which the three letter name is only "w" (also known as amoeba2)) that's tipping me off. It's a pingpong video, and, like I said, this doesn't come with any pingpong versions of videos (except Sphere1, which fits in 80 because the normal alone is 40 frames).

Tell me which videos need to be reversed and I'll encode them. StepMania lacks the know-how to play videos in reverse.
