[Released! Extra Lv. 2] TrotMania Chrystalize

The highly anticipated sequel to TrotMania: Rhythm is Magic, the MLP-themed simfile pack (which not even I expected would become that well-received) is FINALLY here! I must admit, my vision for the project was blurred due to the contributions of a certain person (No offense, but it was this same person who really helped me get off the ground, plus he actually did agree with me about this), so my #1 goal for Chrystalize was to ensure it stayed within the scope of songs from the series, plus remixes and original songs by its fans.

And well, that's a goal we met! Now, just so you're aware, what we are releasing tonight is the base pack, which I'm calling "Extra Lv. 0" (totally ripped that idea from GF/DM). We got 30 songs to start, plus one designated Extra Stage song (If you want to access it "properly", enable Hidden Songs and Extra Stage, and disable Event Mode).

Now, there will, of course, be more where that came from! Every 2 to 3 weeks, we will release an update to add a few more songs to the pack. Every other update will add boss songs (and no, not a new color theme)

Now, for downloading; unfortunately, I do not have root admin access to the Chrystalize folder (so I can't make it public, nor generate the zip), meaning that I can't offer it directly through ZIV yet. So for now, we're doing it the old fashioned way; the way that we did it before we had sites like this: manually! Due to size constraints, the videos are not contained in this file; you can download them separately once the ZIV category is up.

I so badly want to help out with this...mainly to make you guys your own boss song, that's not using already created music...if I just had the right sound files and instruments in Ableton, I could do it. I'll see what I can do...and I hope my parents get me for crhistmas Ableton Live 9 and Push...the last Trotmania was missing so much.

You know if you end up being able to do something, it would be cool to make an arrangement that smashed together an already existing DDR song with some sort of pony song. Just as an example, the original Trotmania had Afronova correct? Maybe you can somehow introduce the melody of Evil Enchantress in there throughout the song or something.

MLP/DDR song arranges? That sounds like a winning combination right there, i'd like to see that happen.

Unfortunately we're not doing that. We got a little too carried away with the non-pony music on the first version, so I'm trying to pre-emptively avoid it.

Ah, oh well. Best of luck with the pack anyway, the first one was great imo, so i'm sure this one will be just as good, if not better.

Feel free to request DDR/BEMANI/whatever in the Trotmania 1 thread. I'm still drafting up the patch songs, which can still be those things. For example, Want It Need It (Hold Me) will be part of it, since it's not technically a pony track.
