I want to discuss DDR Visualizations I'll have to make a separate thread.

I can make a mini DDRMAX4 thread for discussions like Tohoku Evolved but this thread was meant ONLY for updates on DDRMAX4.

If you make another thread just for that discussion it'll just get out of hand. Stick with this for now, if anyone tries to get off-topic, just ignore them and continue to work on MAX4. If you let them distract you it'll take longer to accomplish your goal. The rest of them are just joking around, there's no need to respond to them unless they actually have something insightful to add to this topic

I was born to love you by Queen is now a song, in Dance Mania 80's.

Unique pink effects will be used for most of the movies.

The banners and backgrounds you are allowed to send in must be slightly pinkish or blueish or redish...you get the idea.

Cause it's like Anti-Matter and Possession and New Decade and other songs like that. You should get the idea by looking at this.



Here's an example on what I'm talking about.



You can see me sketching the BGChanges with Sony Vegas, where I can make things widescreen, DDRMAX4/DDR EXUSA cropped and sync whatever I please to the music, and I get tons of effects.

I use HSL adjust on Blue Amoeba to make it Pink as you can see.

The song will be cut down to three minutes, BTW. That's the highest DDRMAX4 songs can go. (Usually)

Also, I figured out a convenient way to loop Cross1.avi Cross2.avi and Fabric1.avi.

Take their reverse half and split it from the normal half. The trick? Mirror the reverse horizontally. Done. :3

Cross1.avi appears in IWBTLY where you can see it looped.



BGMovies for "I Was Born To Love You" finished. Progress has begun on light steps.

Fact; From now on, I may decide if I want a visualization in the background (and maybe the banner) so I'll tell you to make text for it so I can put it on the visualization if I want to..

So... You'd use a visualization as the base of the background if we make the text?

Exactly.

I don't know what song I'll do it with yet, though.

It will be an actual visualization though. I decided to use my inbox just for entertainment purposes.

And yes, that shows my actual messages outside of the ZIV community.

This is a test for the WWCOTBN background.



I wanted to play on the fact that there is text on the machine thingy and I animated it, so I could modify it to WHATEVER I please.

I wanted to reflect this;



It shows an asset of a visualization used instead of just a snapshot.

I see how you make a visualizations. Why don't use BGAnimations? It's more easier than syncing video with Vegas Movie Studio.

Actually, it's REALLY EASY to sync stuff with Vegas.

I have put this on hiatus since I'm not in the mood to work on it right now. I'll work on it in 2013, though, perhaps.

I'll remake all of the BGscripts because of the fact Beware BGmovies 2013 pack was released (as a RC).

Also, can I request this being moved to the simfiles category?

The first in my ultra-remake list is "Telephone". Also, I'm removing "Raining Sunshine" from the game because... it doesn't sound DDR material enough.

Also, submissions for banner and background text for "SLEEPYHEAD (Passion Pit)" and "The Best Is Yet To Come" have opened, along with full background/banner submissions for "Simple And Clean (Kingdom Hearts)". Remember, SaC is the PlanitB mix.


I need help.



How do I make the background (movies) fill exactly the entire screen? As you can see, "Colorful Crystals" is supposed to fill the black border around it and I don't know how to fix it. The theme will look much better, but that's just beta.

I don't like the cropping, so please help me??

Try editing the stepmania.ini for your "theme"?

Looks in that and metrics.ini. Doesn't work. .__.;

The Max3 theme makes it right, but I'm not in the mood to replace the entire theme with Max3. I need to find the area...

I could not locate the problem in "Metrics.ini". I took the one in DDRMAX3 and copied it for DDRMAX4. The cropping works.

The bad part? Some areas screw up.
