Captain Jack is a license. it's probably something about the company or something, i think it's in the previous pages or so.

B4U and Brilliant 2U are Konami Originals though so they're pretty much staying forever.

Not if Naoki suddenly decides to pull his songs from Bemani. The chance of that happening is extremely low though.

Using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKvWIvmRvLk since I can't find a legible X2 video,

AVEX:
Be your wings
ETERNITY
EZ DO DANCE
Hide-away
SUPER EUROBEAT <GOLD MIX> (implied)

NICHION:
CAPTAIN JACK(GRANDALE REMIX)
HERO
Time After Time

Quake (now EXIT TUNES / PONY CANYON):
Everytime We Touch

The other X2/X3 licenses are in the video as well if you want to dig. As expected, most of the Dancemania stuff was from EMI Music Japan (now Universal Music Japan).

I think FEFEMZ's going to be the first to pass the Difficult chart, really...

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

Given that no one's advanced anywhere new in the chart at all in a full month, that seems unlikely.

Konami *owns* those songs, he made those for them as part of his employment with the company, NAOKI can't pull them from the game. Konami could choose not to include them in future games out of spite, but considering that he made the lion's share of Konami original songs for DDR I don't see them ever doing that (unlike the dj nagureo stuff in IIDX and pop'n).

What my question is...

How much modifications they made to the cabinet if it's one of those white ones? The bright colors will probably attract wandering eyes, though given how stark of a contrast the X/X2/X3 cabs were compared to what we got, I wouldn't be surprised if they've cut corners again this time.

Well considering that the cabinet is coming directly from Japan, the only change I expect to see is the exclusion/translation of any Japanese text on the marquee & how to play graphics. No one has an actual answer for your question yet though because the test is still nearly a month away.

Over The "Period" Basic on x0.25
We know that it follows the same rhythm as the Singles chart.

I certainly care; that's new unseen info about an OT"P" chart!

Straightened:

http://i.imgur.com/0NwrAgc.jpg

This video shows most of the arrows that are covered up.

Pretty amazing that someone played through all of Max.(period) D-Standard/Heavy on 0.25x just to see that. (At very low speeds, if I'm remembering correctly most mods such as Boost/Wave/Brake/etc. have very little effect or a detrimental effect, even Boost.) Unfortunate that the Mini mod had to be used as some unseen arrows blocked by the score meter might be otherwise visible, but I suppose that was necessary to help read the Extra Stage at 0.25x.

Any video?

Wave modifier basically ignores your speed mod, iirc.

"Just Play Along"
I can't help but wonder how they will deal with the licenses for the localization, what with the bucketload ofJapanese idol group and anime licenses for the localization. I personally feel they would be unappealing for the most part to western audiences and hope they all get removed besides a few songs by artists that have worked on KONAMI Originals before(and Caramelldansen/Mickey Mouse Eurobeat, guilty as charged). It'd be great if there were some revivals too.

They'll probably get removed, most likely being replaced with semi-popular songs from the last few years (I can't imagine anything that's on the radio right now, licensing costs would probably be pretty bad)

This is why we can't have nice things.

There are a lot of high quality (Double) charts in those 2014 licenses.

My guess is that the UMU folder will be removed and all the slots will be taken by CS licenses/new licenses/possible revivals (Konami is aware of western players' fondness for Dancemania charts). The Hinabitter songs might stay since it's a Konami project. I don't see a problem with the anime licenses since they're popular with western players too (see Angelus).

Maybe some new KONAMI Originals and remixes that are completely new. I am aware they did do that with a couple of American and European releases before Japan got them. For example, MEMORIES and AM-3P (303 Bass Mix) debuted on Dancing Stage EuroMIX2 and DDR Konamix before they were on DDR Extreme's arcade release.

That noteskin is actually called "Medium," and I might try that now the next time I tackle OT"P" (not on x0.25, though). Also, the score meter is far enough to the right so that if there is an arrow behind it, there is only one possible arrow out of the eight it could be.
