I was disapointed when i saw the freezes coming in the gimmicky part (1m17 in the video), i expected something like the chart prediction posted pages ago but with an easier rythms. Then that 8th came and

Oh btw, hi, it's been a while. I was lurking a lot lately and decided to make a post.
Gratz on clearing the and chart, it took a comminuty effort which i always like in those kind of new charts with INSANE requirement to play. Even if i think that the 420 bpm part is beyong stupid and a classic konmai crap to make you guys fail and force you to play at low speed, i have to say that on the other ends, some gimmicks in the song are really nice.

Now we are all wondering, who will clear the difficult chart ? Is there any new gimmicks ? Will it unlock the chart ? (could be a 17)

Perfect, that'll do. Immediately after hearing the assist tick at that part I though, "Duh, of course!" So if I get the chance to make it that far again, this should no longer be an issue unless they change up the pattern in the following measures.

To be honest the only pattern it can change to is one that follows the kicks (like 4th-16th-8th-4th). It shouldn't have big surprises there

A quick reminder that the first Beginner clear and Basic clear videos show the cabinet lights, which can be used to guess at the rhythm of the chart. In particular, they give away almost all of the exact rhythm of the freeze slowdown-speedup section. Beyond that there's not too much more info that can be gained, though at the least they can also be used to tell a few places where the chart won't have extra steps compared to the chart.

the lights doesn't match up perfectly with the difficult chart though, especially in the part where Dr.D failed.

Actually even if that pattern is no surprise, I think it's still tricky to nail it due to the sudden changes of bpm during that part but at least is doable still, I'm expecting the challenger chart to be bull**** in that part.

man, do people never pay attention at the cabinet lights? Basic and Beginner clear shows them clearly and you can see them going to the kicks. So that's what happens on Expert or Challenge, if it exists.

man i've been talking about this since X3 but it sure feels like people who kept that in mind can be counted with my fingers.

Can you explain me that please?, because I might have an idea of how it work but it might not be correct.

Let me see if I can explain this better.

The top left/right lights on the DDR machines seem to non-coincidentally blink on the note placement of a higher leveled chart than the one played. They only seem to blink on the note placements that are slow enough to be picked up on the lights, but they seem to linger (not blink) when each note placement is faster. Interesting to mention that hold notes don't seem to linger on the hold, but blink/linger based on the tapped portion.

The videos that Zowayix linked above seem to prove that and based on my own scrutiny, I can say that there is not just pure speculation.

But yeah, hopefully that makes more sense to what's being explained here.

to be more precise, it follows the hardest single chart in the game. the light blinks for each step and if the next step occurs too fast, the light won't be able to turn off (completely). this has been the case for all songs debuting in X2 and above.

Also wasn't there a few new songs to be released a few days ago or am I thinking of something else? I might be remembering something wrong, but it never hurts to ask I don't think.
