@TranTheMan8: don't forget that the step zone flashes to 8th notes.
Why would Konami allow such a thing to happen like that? It bugs me when things like that happen. But that's nothing compared with the BG video playing on the stages and the machine having the hiccups (remember this from just after the 2013 release?).Anyway, like I said, I don't know how to explain it, especially if the step zone is that wonky like that. I'm looking at your video, Silverhawke, and counting to six after the 160 BPM section while anticipating the music speeding up to 210 BPM may help. (And of course, you just have to see the first few arrows in the 210 BPM section coming.)

it may be intended, for the purpose of throwing off players. can't say i doubt they'd let something like that happen, but it might not be a mistake.

I think the flashes might be on 8ths because the HERE WE GO message begins on an 8th note. As far as I know, all songs start with a HERE WE GO on a 4th note.

Maybe it has something to do with the Encore Extra Stage as an added stage of difficulty-- if it ever gets out of RDI, it could possibly flash on 4th notes

Honestly, it's probably on purpose in order to help the players time the beginning. They can time their ghost steps to the flash.

Not a pass, but getting very close.
I'm done today and I might only get two more opportunities before I head back to America next week. If I can get that jump plus the step that follows after it, I can definitely finish the basic chart. Anyways, get to work step artists.

That chart looks fun, I like it. I might get to work later on the chart.

wow that's fucking rude lmao. that jump is before the speed up instead of at it like the beginner. i would have failed there too.

^Huh? It looks on the beat to me.
@Dr.D: You might have come up with this strategy already, but I advise mashing all 4 arrows on the one beat after the end of that last freeze, since otherwise you'll be trying to sightread a note(s) at 840 BPM which even on 1.75x is pretty hard to do accurately. My worry is that the last 420 BPM section on starts with two consecutive 4th notes, which would be nearly impossible to sightread regardless of mashing and would mean at least one more failed attempt before the pass. Two consecutive notes would match the percussion there too. But if there doesn't happen to be two consecutive notes, then once you successfully enter the last 420 BPM section the rest should be smooth sailing.

It looks like the jump is one beat before what it should be. The third freeze length was probably miscalculated when the chart was made so watch out for that. I think just jumping in upbeat at that point should do it. The thing that worries me is the rest of the chart...will it be synced?
Edit: ....or Dr. D simply didn't hit at the right time? I kindly don't think KONAMI would let out a flawed chart unless OTP was rushed...

HOW DID WE MISS THIS?!?!? This was from 3 days ago.
Apparently 513 has gotten pretty decently on OT"P" Difficult, but it doesn't look like there's a video of the chart, sadly.

I just looked at the video more closely and my bad, the jump IS on beat. Dr.D hit it late (the jump before that was a late perfect).

So there are two consecutive 4th notes after the 840 BPM speedup after all.
That's it then. That should be the last unpredictable gimmick OT"P" can throw at us. Anyone who gets past that point should have no trouble sightreading a straight 420 BPM run on 1.5x-1.75x with no BPM changes. Even if it contains off-percussion 8th notes, which is something I just thought of.
EDIT: To simfile makers: Note the barely-visible up arrow (the 372nd arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
