The overall gameplay & its graphics for the app remind me if pop'n music and beatmania IIDX had iOS/Android apps if BGVs from IIDX & at least the rival characters you play against in pop'n were excluded. Good luck seeing this getting localized for the rest of the world within a year, but I'm not getting everyone's hopes up.

Apparently you can only play Basic on the Story/Street mode or whatever it's called, but if you tap the speaker on the main menu and select a song through there you can choose any difficulty. You have to play the song once in the main mode to unlock it there though. That probably would have been a lot easier to figure out if I could understand Japanese at all

there are no song packs, but you can buy music keys and some other item that lets you use powerups during collection mode and street mode.

Maybe the keys unlock the street mode songs permanently? Can't think of something else.
