Hello everyone, I need help with stepmania 5.
1. I have SM5 alpha 3 version but I do not know yet if it has unlock system for musics.
2. How to put the number of random movies in 1?
3. I have a PS (play station) pad and USB adapter and When I want to play SM5 in platform, I cannot step both arrows at once.

For 3, depending on your adaptor, you might be able to access a "dance mode". I know for my old SmartJoy Plus, it's something like holding Start, Select and Up together. Then when you program in the buttons it should have something slightly different in the name to differentiate it from if it were in normal mode.

For random movies, you can select the number of random movies, 5, 10 or 15 in Bg options but I want to change in 1 because I'm using DDR X and DDR II movies.
It is an example:
How you can see, the bgmovie doesn't change, because the number of random movies is in 1.
About unlock system, I'm refering the command to locked songs like stepmania 3.9 which it has unlock.dat.

To answer your second question, it isn't possible to change the random movie count to 1.
How this guy did it was put a video inside the song folder, configured the movie to trigger at a certain point in the song, and tested to see if the movie worked.
Here's how you would do it:
1. Take a video that is compatible with stepmania.
2. Select a song to place the video into.
3. Once placed, go into the editor and press B to bring up the background menu.
4. Find the name of the movie, and place it at a starting point in the chart.
5. Test to see if it works, then you're done.
As for having every video play that same video, you'll need to add that movie into a folder called RandomMovies (you may need to createone if you don't find it), and then place that video in that folder, then, in appearance options, change the mode to RandomMovies, and that should do it.
Finally, to answer your first question, I have no idea if that feature has been implemented properly yet, so I don't know.

That sounds like the joystick axis problem (assuming the two arrows are up/down or left/right). There isn't a good fix besides getting a better pad/adapter.

Ok, we have two columns up there we can use. I would use Left and Down for the first column for Left and Down, then in the second column Up and Right for Up and Right.
Leave the others blank if you want or type in whatever other key.
Helped me when my keyboard couldn't register notes.

its not that aegis, its the windows driver thats the problem, like it sees the arrows on the pad as an analogstick which basicly means you cant press left and right or up and down at the same time, sometimes its the adapter that does that but it can also be the pad self which can be fixed by rewiring the arrows to the buttons instead, but getting a proper adapter is your best bet if its a console pad

- calibrate your controls via control panel BOTH CONTROLLER P1 and P2. Swap controls if you only have one controllers to calibrate the other. Follow the steps by steps instruction until you finish calibrating them. IF YOU MISS THIS STEP, you will experience key input difficulties while navigating in your desktop. If this happen, just "kill the script" by closing the SMAxisRemapV2 icon in your taskbar.
- if you successfully calibrated your controls, open "SMAxisRemapV2.exe". Your StepMania along with the key scripts automatically open for you.
- Go to your control configuration option, map your controls as you normally do but this time, your input will be mapped as "wsad" and/or "key up, key down, key left or key right" (depending on your player side), instead of actual Joystick keys.
- test your controls to check if simultaneous presses worked correctly.
