Help choosing a home pad.

I've been playing dance games for years, but I've developed an affinity for ITG and the size of their pads. I'm looking to get a good, sturdy, metal pad for home use, but it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find anything ITG-size these days. Does anyone have any suggestions at all?

Here's a Cobalt Flux pad that seems to be in good condition. Comes with the adapter and is said to be "lightly" used. However, free shipping if you live in the US. As of right now it's going up for $255. However, don't be fooled by the picture, it apparently doesn't have the arcade mod on it.

Another option is the DDR iON Arcade Metal Pad. It comes with a bar for $215. I can't reiterate this enough that you shouldn't buy DDR Game pads because of horrible price (and sometimes shotty pads), but this one seems to make several people happy. Also if you really need to, you can buy replacement sensors IIRC from DDR Game.

I really appreciate it. It really is awful just how many have been discontinued. I wish I could get one of the old red octanes or something, but unfortunately you just can't find them anymore. And trust me, I do not want one of the DDR ones at all. None of them.

I've looked into the iONs before and they seem to be the best option.

While we're on the subject, I was wondering what do you all have to say/type about Energy pads? Is the typical Energy pad as bad as mine, which seems to suffer in the quality department -- the bar was sort of fragile and the front connector came loose entirely too easily?

From what I've heard, they usually play fine at first. They look really nice, but again, don't be fooled. After months of play (light or heavy) I heard that the arrows start cracking/stop responding. I never owned one so I can't really say for sure, but I'd still stray away from them considering how many people had problems with it.

As I said before, iONS seem like the way to go. They include a bar for those want it, they are arcade size (I believe), they're pretty cheap in comparison with other pads, you can replace the sensors, and they use the same technology the cobalt flux uses (again, if I remember correctly).

One of my friends got an energy pad and she had a bunch of problems with it too. It was fine starting out but when it starts to wear it really starts to wear. They may be a slightly cheaper alternative, but they aren't worth it at all.

Well, my Energy pad worked relatively okay until the wires severed in the stupid front connector that came loose from just having my hand/fingers resting on it<_< I suspect I didn't solder the wires to the correct pins, so does anyone know how I can possibly find anything that will tell me which wires go where on the pin-connector of the Energy pad? All suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
