So, basically, ever heard of this awesome, yet funny game before? 
No? Then ask Mr. Google to fetch that info for you so you'll know.
Basically, this is a VN (visual novel) game with courtroom events as its background (only for the Phoenix Wright Trilogy & Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney) which uses 3rd person's point of view for the courtroom events, and 1st person's point of view for every investigation scenes.
However, those things differently apply for the Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (AAI: ME) where the MC (main char) is a prosecutor and.. The gameplay seems to be less defending and all and more detective-like. The same also applies for the AAI: ME 2 which is still in Japanese.

I've definitely heard about this series, and I think I've played the first two in full length.
Simply amazing games, sadly it was my friend's DS + games so I had to give them back after she let me borrow it, but now that I have my own DS i'm trying to save up to buy all of them
Sadly I don't own a 3DS, but I have heard of the collaboration project with Professor Layton and it looks really amazing

I played the entire series (minus Gyakuten Kenji 2) and yeah, it's awesome, Trials and Tribulations being my favorite of them.
Looking forward for Layton vs. Ace Attorney and Gyakuten Saiban 5 as well.

My Le Party Phantom in Team Fortress 2 is named Mask☆DeMasque and has a description of "-75% criminal defense from lawyers on wearer". I love this series very much.

I love the series, and I've played the original 3 multiple times. The original was okay, but the 5th case "Rise from the Ashes" is quite amazing. Justice for All was good if just for the last 2 cases. Trials and Tribulations is my absolute favorite.
I also like the fandom project Turnabout Storm. It kind of cemented my status as a brony, because I actually got pulled in by the Phoenix Wright aspect of it.

Yeah, sadly Capcom hasn't planned on releasing Gyakuten Kenji 2 in English, even though many fans have protested...
And yeah, T&T is absolutely my favorite series of the PW trilogy XD
