It's because the .png files have an alpha layer (transparency layer). Normally you can't see it, and with simfile art you don't need it, but just about all versions of StepMania has an issue where it thinks that layer is the whole image. Compressing the images can fix that. I use IrfanView to re-save an image as a web file and that removes that layer.

Check your .sm file with #Banner title, did it point to the correct file?
Check it and reload all songs in option page.

Steps that I followed:

-Remove the banners to use the BG as banners in selection screen.
-With Irfanview, saved the images as web file
-Reload the songs and that stuff, removing the cache before, and changed the name of all folders just to make sure.

The image should already be in .png format, just resave it as a .png file again, overwriting the original file.

I have a little question. For example, when I changed the name of the folder of Dance dance revolution max 2 into "DDRMAX2", the category banner changed for another one with more quality and integrated in the theme. I get this only with MAX,MAX2, EXTREME, DDR X and X2.

How I should name the rest of the mixes for show the good quality banner? (Supernova, supernova2, 5th mix, 4th mix...)

Also, I found how to fix the pink jacket problem. With a program called rename, I delete the "-bg" part of the backgrounds. Now, all of the BG are detected as banner, so no problems anymore.

-The doors still close at the same time, and should start closing after about 1.5 second after the full combo trigger/last note.
-The cleared textures appears early for a split second as the cleared sound triggers, but should actually trigger once the doors close, and the cleared sign appears.

It's still very instantaneous, but it's also because of Stepmania, but there has to be a way to delay the last note of the song to continue for a least a second, and then show the cleared screen for ALL songs. That way we can fully see the combo splash, but that's if you can find some way to bypass some of Stepmania's inner workings to get it right.

I forgot to adjust the sleep duration of the effect, that's why the bug in red occurs.

There's a few more things needed to make sure that this works perfectly.

First, the combo splash displays correctly, but also shows the Waiei Full combo splash as shown in these 2 screenshots.

This happens with ALL full combo displays.

What announcer are you using? Maybe it's because of the announcer.

Anyway, to implement RDA in this theme we need to use waiei's ExFolder script. Big Grin

That's just it, I'm not using an announcer at all. There's a sound effect in the DDR themes that play when you clear a stage indicating a door closing.

He's an example of what that would look and sound like in the arcade:
Start at around 1:51, triggers at 1:56

Also, I have the same problem as Drumrush7 where the sound effect for clearing a stage plays at the same time as the full combo sound. Other than that I LOVE IT Tongue

Hey guys,all of you know that the theme of DDR X3 that I'm doing is based on this theme of kenp (some days ago i informed to kenp about this work in a MP) and the error of the doors and full combo (animation) is very simple and is a problem in the .lua, these are 2 videos of the theme "DDR X3" where appear the error and another with the error solved ok.

I'm trying to make the Player 2 Side have a Red Lifemeterbar, But It only uses P1's color, that being Blue... I made a copy of the Life meter bar, Colored it Red, and Placed it in the Graphics Folder, but It won't show.... Some help?
