Problem with a theme.

Yesterday I download the extended version of the default StepMania 5 theme, and for some odd reason when I use it, the background is black. and I don't know why. If someone would be kind enough to tell me how to fix the problem, that would be great since I really want to try it out.

There's been a couple of StepMania 5 revisions since that theme was put out, it might not be 100% anymore.

I wanna say it was originally intended for pre-release 3.

I'll try that version of the program, see if that fixes the problem.

Or maybe they did it when that was the new version and they couldn't be bothered to update. Seems more likely.

more like default extended isnt even created by the ssc, so why should they update it, go ask the original creator

Just tried an older version of StepMania 5 and the background still isn't showing up. When I tried it the first time, it said that there where a bunch of song wheel colors missing or something like that, any suggestions?

Check if the metrics.ini is inside the first folder for the theme inside your Stepmania Themes folder.

I was thinking that the metrics.ini could have been in a folder inside the theme's folder, since others may have had that issue when installing themes (specifically with SM5 for some reason).
Also, did you overwrite the default theme? Default Extended is supposed to go in its own folder.

No, I didn't overwrite the default theme, but I just tried something and it got the theme to work!! I had the theme folder in the wrong place. Thanks for the advice everyone, it helped out in the end.
