"I really want to hurt you."
There comes a time when a certain BEMANI artist releases a special song that captures the essence of a game, or even BEMANI as a whole. What are some of these songs? Why do you feel that they're so special? And I know it's not BEMANI, but ITG songs work too.

DDR
Max 300 (It's the original boss song that inspired a higher level of competition in the community.)
Valkyrie dimension (It's the hardest song to date. Passing it is *quite* an accomplishment.)
PARANOiA (The original song that started the longest series in DDR.)

ITG
Pandemonium (It's the first 13. It sounds scary and chaotic, just like the charts in ITG.)
Delirium (Its name implies a crazy song, just like the charts of ITG. I often think of it as the hardest Smiley song, until realizing that Summer is so overshadowed by Pandemonium that it can be easily forgotten.)

BEMANI Overall
The Least 100 Sec. and Rin To Shite Saku Hana No Gotoku
Both were crossed over to every single game out during the time of their release. They may not be very symbolic of BEMANI itself, but they're icons nonetheless.

IIDX: MEI - To this day many people call this the toughest chart in IIDX.

ITG: Disconnected - In The Groove's answer to the Paranoia series.

DDR: Insertion - The ending with the BPM blew everyone's mind back in the day. Possibly the first time a songs BPM was used to trick up the player. Was quite a milestone back in 5th Mix

"lol"
IIDX: Quasar
This song is what introduced me to IIDX because I first watched someone playing it on Stepmania, then I checked related videos and I watched a video of someone playing it on IIDX. It looked fun, so I later bought a DJdao controller along with IIDX Empress. I still suck at it though lol.

jubeat: Theory of Eternity
I never get tired of this song, I guess that's why it's called Theory of Eternity.

pop'n music: 777
It's... very odd, cute, and quirky. Much like pop'n music itself.

jubeat: FLOWER
FLOWER borrows many different Yoshitaka song elements into a piece that seems to be designed for jubeat.

REFLEC BEAT: Diamond Dust
To me, Diamond Dust is like the theme to REFLEC BEAT itself actually.

General Bemani: GOLD RUSH
Because why not. Oh, that reminds me.

DDR: Why not
Because Darwin was meant to be on DDR, and this song proves it.

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!"
Hmm, let's see...

DDR:
BUTTERFLY - Self explanatory.
PARANOiA - As mentioned in a previous post, it was the beginning of a long running series, and is viewed by some as the first "Boss" song of DDR.
AFRONOVA - First tribal song and introduced the famous "AFRONOVA Walk"
CAPTAIN JACK(GRANDALE REMIX) - Again, self explanatory.
Brilliant 2U, B4U, DYNAMITE RAVE, CELEBRATE NITE, END OF THE CENTURY - While they are all different songs, they all share that "classic DDR feel"....I don't know if that makes any sense....

beatmania:
u gotta groove - This song, plus the game, "beatmania", started it all.
20,November - Staple DJ Nagureo song and similar to PARANOiA, spawned many different remixes
e-motion - A short, obscure RAVE song that somehow managed to survive, even onto more recent DDR games. I like to think of it as "the little song that could."
DJ-BATTLE - The first song to get you to utilize that turntable.
NaHaNaHa vs.Gattchoon Battle - ......yeah......
super highway - nouvo nude. End of discussion.

beatmaniaIIDX:
GAMBOL - Eternal. Fucked. Up. Timing.
5.1.1. - The original and eternal PIANO AMBIENT song.
R3 - Because everyone loves it.
gentle stress - Flawless Drum'n'Bass, not to mention it's also the introduction of DJ SWAN
.59 - dj TAKA's introduction.
R5 - That piano roll, and the extended version in the ANOTHER chart.
Clione and starmine - Two songs chosen from a competition and both artists (kors k and Ryu respectively) are now mainstream and popular BEMANI contributors.
V - Self explanatory.
rottel-da-sun - In my opinion, it's sampling masters MEGA's best contribution to IIDX
A - Self explanatory.
KAKUMEI - Simultaneous OMES of the 7th main installment of both DDR and IIDX and saw the first collaboration of NAOKI and dj TAKA
stoic - The video.
murmur twins - It's one of those songs that you can't not like.
u gotta groove -extend joy style- - Remix of the first BEMANI song in IIDX? Sure.
e-motion 2003 -romantic extra- - Similar to the above song, plus it helps continue the CORE REMIX.
Innocent Walls - Jackhammers.
AA - Self explanatory.
gigadelic - The washing machine song and two chart difficulties rated a 12.
FAKE TIME - Again, Level 12 on both HYPER and ANOTHER.
100% minimoo-G - The only song on IIDX to date without a time signature.
CaptivAte -浄化- - Beginning of a popular series
Scripted Connection⇒ - First to utilize all three difficulties as different parts of a whole song.
SigSig - What the hell is a "SigSig", and then it became somewhat of a series.
Xepher - Self explanatory.
冥 - The first ANOTHER chart with a MAX COMBO of 2000
Apocalypse ~Dirge of Swans~ - Enter Zektbach.
The Dirty of Loudness - The moments where you must hit all keys at once.
tiger yamato - Reo Nagumo's final IIDX song.
Zenius -I- vanisher - The song with a sequel that never happened.
CARDINAL GATE songs - Began the trend of EXTRA STAGE systems.
Watch out!!, Digitank System, naughty girl@Queen's Palace, Red. by Full Metal Jacket, Watch Out Pt. 2, 灼熱Beach Side Bunny, BLACK.by X-Cross Fade, and Snake Stick - The IIDX turntable exists. Now use it like you're supposed to.

I'm gonna stop there.

GOBBLE - Contains an impossible 14KEY chart.

Remain (pop'n): A brief introduction to dubstep in BEMANI games, followed by Star Trail and Programmed Universe
Ganymede (IIDX): Slowest music ever in IIDX history (IIRC), and also it shed tears for me
Todestrieb (IIDX): Fake Yoshitaka's song, and also that 'trap'
AFRONOVA (DDR): Most played music for n00bs

Max 300 for being much more challenging compared to other songs (and because of all the videos of Yasu AAAing it)

Remain (pop'n): A brief introduction to dubstep in BEMANI games, followed by Star Trail and Programmed Universe
There were a couple of songs with dubstep influence before Remain, namely Bounce Bounce Bounce and Cansei de S NIK. Besides, Remain is too recent to be an "icon" of such a long standing series, in my opinion.

For pop'n music I'd name...
* I REALLY WANT TO HURT YOU and Quick Master (everybody who have been playing pop'n for a while know these songs)
* NANKA HENDA! (started the POWERFOLK series and the whole Atsushi Shindo deal)
* Cry Out and Homesick Pt.2&3 (very popular songs back then)
* DAIKENKAI (started the HIP ROCK series which became really popular as well)
* STARS (marked TERRA's debut and start of the long HYPER J-POP series)
* 100sec. Kitchen Battle!! (well-known song, theorically from MAMBO A GO GO)
* Usual Days (stated the popular SYMPATHY series)
* CURUS (became a popular song)
(to be continued)

For pop'n stage:
* MAHOU NO TOBIRA (SPACE MACO NO THEME) and WE TWO ARE ONE (well-known songs overall)
* ¿Que vas a hacer? (the pop'n equivalent of GAMBOL)

KEYBOARDMANIA:
* Pink Rose (one of the most well-known songs from those series)
* Carezza (one of the hardest songs)
* Henry Henry, Mighty Guy, AKUMAJO DRACULA MEDLEY and MIDORI NO KAZE were also among the most popular songs of KBM. May that series rest in peace ):

"."
Thread sounds like "best song ever" again, but ok.

I think Iconoic and I think Solid State Squad or Blind Justice or Xepher, regardless how overplayed.

Bemani in general:

SigSig
Nadeshiko Rock

Barring an absence from GFDM and SDVX for SigSig, both songs appear on all currently active games in the Bemani Series.

Jubeat
Evans : While not as hard as it used to be, it's still considered one of the hardest 10 Extreme in the game.

Generally for DDR, most of the early Dancemania licenses gets around, and are associated with DDR.

This thread is more of a "what song is the most popular for that particular series" thread than "what is your favorite Bemani song" thread so I wouldn't consider it a duplicate of the other. Anyway, here's my take on the iconic songs:

IIDX: V
DDR: butterfly, but if I had to pick a KO, it would be PARANOiA
GFDM: The Least 100sec
pop'n: DAIKENKAI, Rintoshiteoverratedyetcatchysong
jubeat: Evans, Snow Goose
Rb: Diamond Dust (agreeing with whoever said that)

"Take your hater shades off."
Daikenkai for having the most wtf lyrics. Some of the weirdest, anyway.
Wasn't roppongi EVOLVED the first DDR song (first Bemani, I don't know) to have multiple hidden versions like that?
Butterfly for being the most overplayed piece of... music.
DoLL/ Xepher/ a bunch more but mostly those two -> "omg what anime is this from?!?!"
bag for being the slowest thing (or the slowest thing most people remember) on DDR.
Look to the Sky was overplayed at one point. Honestly not sure why, even if I like it.
DIVE was labeled as the first Jpop on DDR sssomewhere.
Smoooooch gets more popularity points for having like 90 video parodies of it on Nico Nico, also earning a spot in the Nanairo Nico Nico Douga Medley.
