Evil will return in Sanctuary on the 15th of May. Be prepared.
On a side note, PvP won't be included initially. Probably due to heavy balancing they have to do before it's ready?
Evil will return in Sanctuary on the 15th of May. Be prepared.
Quote: Details
Two decades have passed since the demonic lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, set out across the world of Sanctuary on a vicious rampage, twisting humanity to their unholy will. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils, the memory fades slowly. When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram Cathedral seeking clues to defeat new stirrings of evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, striking the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky reawakens ancient evils and calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells once again.

Not in the game, but an awesome animated short by Titmouse (Metalocalypse).
Launch day edit: Turns out the customers are unsatisfied thanks to the DRM system forcing you to be online at all times to play, and the downtime on day one shows and blows.
Also, the Metacritic community shows the unhappy customers: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/diablo-iii/user-reviews

Oh wow, forced online play? That's pretty ass.

Maybe the game is actually good and it doesn't deserve all those low scores, but I'm glad that people are finally doing something about developers blatantly releasing clearly incomplete games and expecting people to deal with it. Game makers need to go back to delaying games to improve their quality, instead of completing it after several months of endless patches and fixes. Have they even fixed Skyrim's game-breaking framerate bug on the PS3 yet? This is why this industry can't crash soon/hard enough.

What does everyone think of the game thus far?
I'm only in Act II, but I'm having a blast. Every complaint I've heard is about how Blizzard 'ruined' the series and made it casual but really I feel that they just streamlined the stuff that everyone made obsolete in D2 (e.g. Tech trees and builds). The always online deal makes sense in my mind because it is Bnet and every game that comes out for Blizzard will be on Bnet...it's all in the cloud and there is no backing away from that. Honestly, most everyone these days has a constant internet connection so I see virtually no issues with this at all...being booted from 'single player' game (really just a one person multiplayer game) due to server issues is lame, but after this first week I doubt there will be any latency issues.
Opinions?

Now we got even more crappy news involving Diablo III.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-21-diablo-3-accounts-hacked-gold-and-items-stolen
Now I totally lost my desires to play and now I'm permanently through with Activision/Blizzard. I don't care about the action they'll take in regards to hackers. I'm just through with them.
