So we saw a few really good songs/charts die off early, going up against some formidable foes. Not that it would change the results, which is aimed at finding the definitively single best chart. But what if some of these got a second chance? Would it change the game at all?

Just gonna mash the whole first losing bracket at once, for the sake of expedience:

Flow (True Style) Challenge vs.
AM-3P (AM-East Mix) Challenge

CARTOON HEROES (Speedy Mix) vs.
DROP OUT (fnsmm) Challenge

Polovtsian Dances and Chorus vs.
oarfish

Vem brincar vs.
tokyoEVOLVED

HERO (2008 X-Edit) vs.
THIS NIGHT

LOVE THIS FEELIN' vs.
Under The Sky

D2R (FREEZE special) vs.
more deep ver. 2.1

New Decade Challenge vs.
AFRONOVA

Healing Vision -Angelic Mix- vs.
A Challenge

HAPPY*ANGEL vs.
diry digital Challenge

MOON vs.
CaptivAte ~chikai~

DO IT ALL NIGHT vs.
1998

ZERO vs.
SUPER SAMURAI

patsenner vs.
You Are A Star

PARANOiA Survivor vs.
DROP THE BOMB (SySF Mix)

Chance And Dice vs.
DROP OUT

Based on the original "Best DDR Chart Tournament" located here. Likewise, assume Heavy unless specified otherwise.

It sounds cool but it would take forever.

Also, I'm really peeved that we only did AChallenge and not all charts because AHeavy is awesome. Neutral

A, Drop Out, and Cartoon Heroes should have been on the top 5.

Honestly I know some of you feel bad for your favorite charts but a losers bracket would take way too long

I did say "some," not all!! Okay, fine...

Obvious crapouts are crapped out. Admittedly, I was tempted to assume PARANOiA Survivor > DROP THE BOMB (SySF Mix) or AFRONOVA > New Decade Challenge ; but I suppose difficulty and such is subjective, and each DO have their fans. There's even a few showdowns between crapshoots (like UTS vs. LTF), and a number of curious outcomes involved like HVAM vs. A Challenge and DO IT ALL NIGHT vs. 1998. That's mainly why I'm suggesting it... I enjoy the conversational debates about some of the charts.

You don't have to play along if you don't wanna, and it's not like the results will affect the official showdown anyways.

Too long? You can do the whole thing right now, for all it matters. Give a week or so for final tallies?

Fine. Let's do foursies. Quote and vote, then discuss:

HERO (2008 X-Edit) vs.
THIS NIGHT

LOVE THIS FEELIN' vs.
Under The Sky

D2R (FREEZE special) vs.
more deep ver. 2.1

New Decade Challenge vs.
AFRONOVA

Dunno if this thread will continue but now that you mention it, the other thread would be over loads faster if we did the rest of the rounds like this...

HERO (2008 X-Edit) - 0
THIS NIGHT - 1

LOVE THIS FEELIN' vs. - 0
Under The Sky - 1

D2R (FREEZE special) - 0
more deep ver. 2.1 -

New Decade Challenge - 0
AFRONOVA - 1

Although it would've given certain matches less appeal but hey, it'd be efficient.

But, do you guys really want the tournament to be over in a week? I could do everything else like that but it would ruin the appeal of some of the later rounds

I dunno if we want the other one hurried up. Maybe these first-rounders to start squaring off the good songs (which is going on now); but in this thread there's far less need to be so formal, and since it's a whole two brackets behind, there's a bit of catching up to do, at least in this first batch of reruns.

Skippy song showdown! : For some reason, THIS NIGHT is just delightful. Not that I dislike HERO, IMHO the best of the X-Edits, but I prefer TN's streaming action to HERO'S jump-craziness.

LOVE THIS FEELIN' at least has some spinny showoff potential; where UTS was obviously a troll entry. Get right down, legit!!

more deep, IMHO, is tragically undercharted. D2R FS < D2R (OG), but at least it still tries to be fun in some spots.

I'm still shocked New Decade Challenge was seriously considered. Maybe if your masochistic, it's your cup of tea. Heavy long version isn't as bad as I thought it would be, at least... they added more fun sections between the crazy; it's almost like Fascination with no piano now.
