Would have been nice to have a different theme, oh well.
According to the post, it doesn't say anything about this being the official theme. They could change it at anytime. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just looked looked at this posts info, not the website or anything.
I see.

"Give me a steady beat."
The pics released are usually indicative of what the final game will look like (Bad memories of the American EXTREME). It's a somewhat modified DDR S theme and possibly engine.

Konami's probably going for what's the most up-to-date without sacrificing gameplay. Think about it: X2 and X3 are all cover-flow-based, whereas X is more traditionally banner-based. This allows DDR S+, which runs with the X theme, to be played with the device vertical. Because of this vertical orientation, the amount of space for the arrows to scroll is maximized.

For cover flow, the device would need to be held sideways, which would minimize the amount of space and thus reflex time. Calculate that in with the fact that the player's hands would be in the way of the scrolling and anything later than X would just be a disaster.

I would be genuinely surprised if they integrated cover flow into the mobile X theme. The screens so far have banners, banners it is. If anything, it would be what we saw on DDR FREEDOM, jackets on top and a songwheel on the bottom.

God, I hope not.

Horrible roulette. But remember, in the first image, appear the normal banner and no the CD Cover.

Has anyone heard any updates regarding this? I'm surprised we haven't heard anything aside from the initial announcement.

Why does it say this game is released? Still nowhere to be found.

The TBA date was set to 2012/02/29 internally in the database cos that WAS the latest date I expected it to be released.

I pushed it back to 2012/12/31 now. Good on Konami to lie to everyone in the press release. Roll Eyes

I've posted a message on the DDR Facebook page asking if they could shed some light on this ... long shot but we'll see.

The DDR Facebook page just confirmed that the product is still in development but does not have a release date yet.

Cool. Sure hope I can port over all of my S+ DLC.

Also I wonder if it will have any connection to the new DDR AC title in development.

I've totally forgotten about this app, all my hype was lost when March began.
Hoping it will also transfer S+ songs as well! I've spent countless of dollars purchasing iTunes cards buying every pack! Excluding the licenses. Annoyed
Maybe even a Challenge difficulty?

It would be unique if it did link to the new DDR 2013.

Sorry for the bump, but is this the same DDR Mobile game that's being developed?

It is...

but like WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

NEW SCREENSHOTS!

So it looks like they wanted to at least reskin the game so it doesn't look exactly like DDR S series.

Oh, and a new game title, didn't even notice at first!

Awesome, but I hope it still has support for iOS 3. I'm stuck with an iPod touch 1G and I don't know if I'm ever gonna upgrade to a newer device.

That is very very very unlikely. Most apps these days seem to need at least iOS 4.3, especially games. I'm sure you can get an iPod touch 4th gen cheap now since it is no longer the newest model.
