That's why those games sucked.
Okay, maybe Winx and DCE, but *Disney's Rave*?! I've been living a lie!!! Seriously, I thought that was one of the better spinoffs.

To answer some questions I just got:
Single is the only mandatory step type. However, if you want to do double/solo/kb7/etc., you can. (KB7, for those unaware, is a new game type in SM5 - it's essentially the SDF SPACE JKL game. It was built to appease former o2Jam/DJMAX Online players. Of course in the theme I did do style graphics for every mode.
We're using the DDR/ITG ("classic" scale), the 1-13. Not 1-20.

I'm really sick right now, but I can try and step anything you specifically want.
Can I step Power? I love that song.
I completely agree. You should include licenses, but choose them very carefuly, and make sure they fit in with the theme and style of the game. There's no point filling it up with MLP remixes, just for the sake of it.
If the finished product looks as amazing as the WIP images suggest, then you're going to get a lot of attention from people who don't normally play DDR games. Some well-chosen trance and Eurobeat licenses would probably go down well, especially songs popular with the "brony" crowd.
edit : I've never used SM5, but what format do you want videos in? (file format, dimensions, file size). I'll step a song for you tonight to show you how I think specific licenses would fit in perfectly.

Not every song in Winx Club, DCE, or Disney's Rave, and, particularily for DR, worked in it's favor with more traditional DDR tunes (Night of Fire, Macarena, Twilight Zone), including licenses. The mood of the song fits the game, and that should be all that matters.

Yes, it has sufficient relation to ponies, cause of this, DEFINITELY.

So yeah. I'm going to clarify all these notes on the front page shortly, but for the record:
512x512 is the maximum banner size, 256x256 is the minimum.
You do not have to do a background if there is going to be a video.
Songs in this pack must either be directly or indirectly related to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, or be otherwise approved by me. I am thus, going to allow "licenses", but they will only be a small portion of the full song list. (I'm sorta aiming for 45-60+)

I have a new song that I've been thinking for a while would work:
Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) / Lady Gaga
It's got a nice trance factor, is her most bubble pop-style song, and overall gives a family friendly tone. Considering the taste of most MLP fans, I think it'll work.

Yo, I'm Supersaw Hoover, pony musician. Lirodon told me to make an account and post in this thread so I'm doing that.
I'm apparently making some sort of gimmicky boss song for this (probably Discord-themed...PARANOiA DiSCORD???) and stepping it, but I'll also step a few other things I think.
For now, I'd like to stake claim in the following songs:
Hydra Pulse (Glitchatwitch Remix) - General Mumble befriends Lenich [long version half-stepped as an ITG 12]
Find a Pet (Candy mix) - Foozogz [not started]
gPrOeWaEtRaFnUdL - Supersaw Hoover [not started]
uhhhh I'll add more when I think of them
EDIT: also, I've been seeing a few suggestions to step tangentally related (or entirely unrelated) music that "fits with the theme." Honestly, I might be a bit of a purist, but it seems to me like that would detract from the pony power present in this pack. "Power" is pushing it imo. The Lady Gaga song makes no sense. BUT HEY THAT'S JUST LIKE MY OPINION MAN

okay ... actually on second thought, I'm starting to think I don't actually now want to include anything that isn't directly or indirectly Pony-related...
Any thoughts?

TBH I though that's what the purpose of the pack was in the first place ^^; (see previous posts)

Proposal: Anything that doesn't have to do with MLP has to at least be horse-related.
I left it open so we can have this Captain Jack song Supersaw suggested

I consider Power to be Pony-related actually, cause you know, that "PONIES" parody of the music video for it? If it were in there, I would like to make SURE it uses the same cut as the music video, cause it'll most likely be in there too to add context.

I'm not sure if this is particularly steppable in a way that would be not a fucking hard pad file, but it might be kinda fun to try.
Also, I had this crazy idea. I'm going to attempt to step--for pad--the entirety of Tarby's "Something Broke." You know, the 21-minute prog rock song about Cupcakes. It is actually completely steppable and would make for a very interesting chart, and I'm pretty confident I can step it correctly. I really don't know if this file would have any place in this pack but maybe it could be a one-track course or something.

Hmm, we could play it off like how they did 2112 on GH WoR (i.e. when first played, its the whole thing as a nonstop, but its also split up using its actual parts.

No.
Step all 21 minutes.
I'd play it on pad if you did. ENDURANCE RUN WHOOP WHOOP.
