Easiest and hardest boss songs?

Chaos is annoying as HELL!FELM too,FAXX tops the list.The easisest is praobably Sakura.My favorites are NGO and MAX 300.

Easiest - Bowser's Castle (see, it's in Mario Mix, no?)

Hardest - Pluto Relinquished Heavy (will change to Oni if that's worse.)

If its boss songs, easiest would go to candy star or kakumei.

For 10 footers... Easiest would be a toss up between Paranoia Survivor or Xepher oni.

Hardest - pluto reliquish and then FAXX expert or FELM oni.

- PS is harder than MAX 300. My easiest 10 would be any from the Disney mixes, or PR Standard.

Meh, CHAOS is easy as far as 10's go, it's just a pain to full-combo in OMES.

I would say Genom Screams Expert Doubles is the easiest ten... it should really be a 9. It's the first ten I ever full-combo'd, and I've only FC'd two, so it must be pretty easy.

Hardest is definitely a tie between Pluto Relinquish Expert and FELM oni. I'm not going to include HDV oni, because there's a fine line between hard and just plain stupid.

sakura might have been the bottom rung of the 10s, but to say its not a boss song is absurd. i'll screen shot it in red text in festival if i have to prove it to you guys, sakura has boss status. as does maximizer, outer limits, candy*, kakumei, DDR(the song), trip machine survivor, and several other songs.

Red Boss Songs
DDR for passing, Kakumei for Scoring
Seeing as we have not received a RED boss song with a challenge chart, I would have to say FAXX. As the challenge charts for these boss songs would show they aren't red. Then again, they're in Boss rush courses. But I like to be smart a ass like that.

As I said, it's bosses we're talking about. I was just commenting on the whole post.

MAX 300 is probably the easiest 10, the chart flows so well. Most 10s have messy patterns these days.

Pluto Relinquish is (almost) like Fascination MaxX playing backwards. The BPM changes at the end are oh-so similar to the ones in FAXX's beginning. Both even have a 200 BPM "rest" period. The end of both are riddled with jackhammer steps and both run at 400 BPM for most of the song.

And besides...

Fascination MaxX Expert > Pluto Relinquish Expert

FAXX expert is harsh going from the beginning to the end while PR Expert will let up at certain places. The only really hard part is at the end of PR where stuff just gets nasty with that long stream of 8th steps at 400 BPM. FAXX does not make sense going throughout the entire song. The 200 BPM gallops should not even be there. The steps after the stops being an odd purple/dark purple color don't help it at all in terms of rationalizing the stepchart.

When PR gets downgraded to Extra Stage status, I can bet that there will be hundreds of videos out there whoring out the Expert chart.

PR Challenge might have some kick to it, but nothing of FELM, PH, or HDV's caliber. We have to wait until April (?) or until someone gets to the end of Boss Rush SN2 Version to see if it can cause nightmares.

The 24th sync accident was caused by the BPM stop in the middle of the 12th section being 0.02s out. If they had changed that, maybe the end part would have probably appeared to be more sane. And I'm with you on the gallops there. They didn't follow the song at all...

Yep, according to SuperNOVA 2, Sakura Challenge Doubles went from a non-10 to a 10 while everything else was bumped down.

But if you guys are talking about easiest boss songs, shouldn't PARANOiA and Trip Machine be counted in as well? If I am not mistaken, they were the boss songs for DDR (1st mix)

they werent really boss songs, but just the hardest songs in the game. they were only selectable on the final stage, but every song was only available on certain stages at that time. they were considered bosses because of their difficulty at the time, not because the game gave them that status.

Then what are the quality or conditions that defines "boss song"?

One that can only be accessed in regular play on a totally locked version of the game as an Extra Stage or One More Extra Stage, on any DDR machine. Even though MAX 300 is available as a regular stage song in SuperNOVA, it's a boss song because it was the Extra Stage for DDRMAX. For arcade releases, this would include (but are not limited to):

MAX 300
MAXX UNLIMITED
Paranoia Survivor/Paranoia survivor MAX (not sure about this one, only played on extremes about 3 or 4 times ever)
The Legend of MAX
KAKUMEI
Dance Dance Revolution
Healing-D-Vision
Fascination MAXX
Fascination ~eternal love mix~
CHAOS

I know little about home console versions, and I'm sure people could add arcade boss songs to that list. I don't know much about home console boss songs, other than MAX 300 Super Max-Me-Mix on DDRSN(PS2)
