DanceMasters (PC) at Taco Bell? Konami Kids toys...

I saw this on the wall at Taco Bell today...

Theres some Konami PC game promotion, with DanceMasters being part of it. I'm not sure what the game is exactly, but it might be worth someone getting a Kid's Meal to check out.

I kinda think is most likely some low-quality Flash version of the game, with keyboard or webcam instead of Kinect.

If you've ever wanted the instrumental version of SUPER SAMURAI then get this. I'll upload an ISO sometime soon if no one else does. I'll just upload the videos up on YouTube. They should be done by the morning or so.

Edit again: Think the DDR DVD game but with Dance Masters gameplay videos playing that open up in your default media player and that's what this is. So far Super Samurai and Kimono Princess are instrumentals. All of the songs in the gameplay videos are instrumentals!!!

OK, so what happens is you install a 400~ MB application (Windows only, sorry Mac OS users) that opens up a graphical launcher for four DM/DE gameplay videos that you're supposed to dance along to.

You don't even have to buy a kids meal. Just ask for the toy and make sure you mention it's the Dance Masters one or just "the dancing one."

Yeah it's a bunch of stickers that you take off to make a picture out of and the CD cover has a mini Sudoku puzzle, a dance routine via pictures, Connect the dots, a word search, and a maze. I'll take a picture when I get a chance.

I haven't opened up Frogger yet.

For the record, these are definitely still there, if you're like me and didn't notice this until yesterday. Toys stay up around a month, don't they? It's been a while...

After installing the CD... who uses .wmv files? 0_o; The actual menu doesn't fit on my old-skewl-not-widescreen monitor, but at least the videos open up in WMP at a good size... which just seems so awkward for a program to have such a wonky interface that goes back and forth, but it's really pretty nonetheless. The stickers need moar Dave. Sure, Daisy is cuter, prettier, well-designed, and overall more marketable but... she's not a dude.

Overall, loveliest $3 purchase ever. *was hungry, dunno how much just the CD is* Unless you already have the game; then besides the karaoke versions of those four songs, there isn't a whole lot. But it's snazzy.

Also hoowwwww does that "hop hop dance" look in real life...? The first four poses are easy but the last four don't... go together much.

CDs like these always use .wmv files.

Slightly off-topic, but my friend got a TRON USB flashdrive shaped like a lightcycle and it had "extras" on it, which were just posters, backgrounds and a few trailers in the format of .wmv
