2MB/s is honestly not that great when I compare it to what a lot of other people can get.

I'm sure DDRFreak2011 has the Lowest official (i.e. not glitched), non-banned user rating in all of Z-I-v history.
<On Topic> are the graphics on disc in a high quality file or how do you guys usually rip them without using line outs?

Simfiles are up, all quality checked. In the future we will continue to use OGG with the silence as KONAMI uses the silence at the beginning of each song to sync the track.
We may continue holding back with home version simfiles as we don't want to harm sales of the games.,
Any problems please report them here.

Are there really that many songs in the game without Doubles charts?

Well, actually. The simfiles have more doubles charts, because the short versions don't include them.

So the simfiles are coded to allow song/step combinations that wouldn't be allowed in the actual game? So in actuality there'd be more songs sans Doubles charts?

Forgive the ignorance if I've missed something, but there are some oggs missing. It seems that songs that have the long and short versions, most only have the long versions available.

I'm in favor of what KONAMI did adding silence and zero song offset, for accuracy sake and besides, silences doesn't always exceed about one measure. Since, you are using ogg in the future, the additional size of space for those silence parts means nothing especially if they are just oggs.
Edit: in this way, *maybe* we won't find any trouble getting correct offset data when using DDR AC step editor like SimPhony to be used in machines , as stepcharts are placed that way originally in machines.

The licenses only exist in "long versions". If you choose the short version, then you play the first 90 seconds of the song, and the software simply fades out the song once the steps end.
The DDR X3 songs have both long versions and short versions, which are completely seperate songs, with different music files and stepcharts.

Thanks, I kinda figured it would be something like that, but I wanted to make sure just in case there was an oversight. Much appreciated. :-)

Well done with the files guys, it's great to finally play these songs seeing as HP5 isn't out in the UK until next week.
A few thoughts though:
There is a horrible buzzing sound in the background of each audio file. I've had this myself in the past when ripping audio from DVDs. It's easily fixed as I'm sure you know, either by re-ripping from the game disc or applying an audio filter.
2) It looks really ugly having "Full Song" and "Short Song" on the songwheel like that. Seeing as short songs are the standard in DDR I see no need to advertise these, so perhaps you should only use the subtitle on the long versions. Oh, and put it in brackets. "(Full Song)" looks SO much nicer and is as heck of a lot easier to read.
3) Banners. People have made some great banners based on the album covers, so use them!
Thanks again guys, great work.
