"Rainbows in the Sky"
...That wasn't like the 2009 version. If Konami can revive DDR, it can do the same with this. Since I can't import, that was the closest I could get to a CS version.
I just came to say hello.

I think they'd do a iidx revival before they do pop'n.

There would be more demand for IIDX seeing as DJ Hero is gone.

As much as I'd like to see a proper US CS release of pop'n music, I think it would be unlikely. There hasn't even been proper (read: compatibles with the controller) CS releases on Japan in years, so sadly the probability of Konami releasing a CS game over here is quite low in my opinion.

Besides, DDR has a larger fanbase than pop'n music's on the US. Konami needs to promote more the franchise before releasing a CS game, unless they want it to be a sales flop.

Try again by bringing some IIDX and pop'n machines over to the US. Put them where they'll do well and gain popularity.

Set for a new CS release in the US.
I stole DDR X2 CS from the internet; it's my fault the music game genre is dying.

I once considered that.

Then I said "no".

Such a valuable asset like you would have been abused.

It's alright to say "no" sometimes.

Then I said "no" that that.

There would be more demand for IIDX seeing as DJ Hero is gone. currently on hold since Activision never said the franchise was completely canned to all hell and IIDX is just the best damn game ever and needs to be put on the PS3/360/Wii U.
Sorry, had to fix it Puppy Face

True, it is on Activision, but it doesn't seem like they'll be releasing it anytime soon.

Eh, it was good while it lasted though. They would've turned it into a Guitar Hero and milk the fuck out of it, just like what Activision does with all their series.

I'm fine with what we have. It'd be nice to get some good DLC bundles here and there. But hey, whatever they decide.

Do you think GuitarFreaks could be released CS for the US then? (then again, Guitar Hero was over done)

To be honest, i think they learned their lesson with the milking of GH, hence why it was one of the reasons why they put it on hold for now since they just don't know what more they can add to the game (Guitar Hero) that hasn't already been done/can be done through other guitar-based music games (Rocksmith and Rock Band's Pro Guitar Mode).

DJ Hero was it's own unique game, and since Scratch never saw the light of day, it was the only US based DJ music game that actually went well, not as well as Activision hoped it would have.

I would be happy with a 3rd version, a 4th version would have to knock the socks off of the 3rd version, but anything after that i can say would be too much. In an age where we can get games updated through online patches, i don't want to see anything past DJ Hero 3 to be honest UNLESS there REALLY is need for it and it works well for both the consumer and the company.

.....Eerrrggghhh not the BEST 1.1 year bump to post, but I can atest to that. Besides like I said in my quote to agentmargo, they TRIED doing that one time and that was Rock Revolution, which was honestly the US CS version of both GuitarFreaks and Drummania cloaked in "Americanese" to make the general US public see it as a "US" version rather than a "Japanese" port.

As it turns out it failed horribly and was the biggest laughing stock of the guitar/band peripheral-based gaming world.

If Konami tried to port over a GF US CS version (like an arcade port, not RR), most people would not know what the hell the songs were and who made them and all this junk that would ALSO make it crash and burn as horrible as RR made it. Harmonix currently is grabbing america by the balls with their music games, they know the perfect balance of music, gameplay, and sustainability than Activision and Konami combined here in the States. Ubisoft's trying to get to that point, and it's getting there, but so far Harmonix is taking over the Western side of the music gaming world while Konami's got the Eastern side.

Uuuuhhhh DDR II? It may not be DDR X3-actually, let me think:

- It has the BGM Select from X3.
- It has the theme from X3.
- It has about 15 songs from X3 while the rest is X2 and other songs not put into the previous game.

Wow, it does feel like X3 a lot...

Give it a year, with DDR 2013 they'll have to think of something for a CS release...and I would bet that we will be getting one final DDR CS version that will more than likely mimic the 2013 version in terms of getting 6 to 8 months update and changes all through DLC and junk. Perfect formula for the PS3/360/future gen consoles IMO.

Speaking of Rock Revolution, does anyone have an mp3 of that rock remix of My Only Shining Star? I actually thought that was a good remix.
I can't really think of which is better. The Universe series has some really good underrated charts and songs, but DDR II has more of an X3 feel if that's what you want?
