i usually never get those stupid people that disturb you i usually get nice people that are amazed by my playing and if a kid comes on the parent usually get the kid off so yeah theres not alot of people that disrupt me.

but theres one thing i find annoying at jenkinsons sometimes people play happy mode and they never finish playing after 1 song they sometimes leave that annoys me so much so i just finish for them

That's not too bad if they're playing Pro Mode, but Happy Mode..not so much. Limited song selection and limited difficulty levels, ugh..

*raspberry* Heh, where I play in City Island NY, there are children over there all the time. One little girl one time just wouldn't stop getting on. I actually got a whistle so that if anyone tries to get on, I scare them away with the whistle. I try to to be nice about it at first and kindly ask them to get off, but if the kind request goes ignored, then I get annoyed and start raising my voice. Of course, I try to keep myself from doing so, because the area is visited by so many people from a low-life borough, the Bronx, who'd go crazy if they saw their children being controlled by others. I can tell because, one time me & a friend were there at the place, and a mother was in the dining area yelling at another woman so loudly for trying to discipline her child that the whole place went silent for quite a while. That's why I feel conflicted whenever children are all up on the machine, trying to damage the pads, and disrupt gameplay altogether. They need to place a fence around the machine & pads in my opinion.

Quite honestly, I kinda find it as a good thing if people just play their first stage of a round for DDR/ITG, and just leave the game for someone else to play. That way, I'm not paying for that round Tongue (despite being short one song for that round).

"My paw is incompurrable!"
It really depends on the shopping mall the arcade is in.

But oh God, I really hate kids when they're around the DDR Machine. I've experienced kids on the machine during doubles play. I hit them numerous times but they just won't fucking get off the damn machine. Heck, there are even rare scenarios that they do that during singles play. Damn kids.

And I also hate it when they mimic the moves as if they're playing. No offense to those who do that but when it comes to kids, it's annoying.

When I was in Florida I was watching this one girl play (stuff like R3 and Daikenkai on Heavy ) and this little girl walked up to her and said: "Eww! You sweaty! Why you sweaty?"

My friend is doing a good job on Scorching Moon singles and some random kid just passed in front of him. Needless to say, he didn't PFC that. I think he should've PFCed it.

This past Wednesday (12/21), I was playing at Dave & Buster's Times Square DDR X machine with a couple of friends. As I was finishing up Gamelan de Couple Heavy, a couple of ladies asked if I always worked up a sweat. I told them, in my usual way, "That's the price for entertaining ya." Needless to say, they got on the machine after.

@Dave & Busters

Most kids are kept tight close by their parents.
OCCASIONAL obnoxious asshole teen, but the machine is in the back happily.

I was playing on the Fiesta they have and a small group of drunk 20-somethings come over to me and start screaming and being and obnoxious and drunk all over the place and I was just kind of terrified because the machine was in a corner and there were like 5 of them and I still had 2 songs left so I had to decided whether or not to run away or just be terrified of the drunk people while I finish my game (I'm a skinny 15 year old, mind you).

"Give me a steady beat."
You're lucky that your D&B still carries Pump.

Don't fear the drunks, just smile and laugh with them and they're cool. If they get in your way just start looking worried and telling them to be careful so they don't get hurt. Drunk people heed warnings regarding their personal safety pretty well.

Is it just me, or is there no such thing as the following in America:
A Dave & Busters with In The Groove (any)
A Chuck E Cheeses with ANY 4-panel dancing game

1. IIRC, there are none.
2. There was at least one CEC (closed down I think) in Massachusetts that had a DDR USA, and I assume there are more.

1. What seems to be the reason behind it?
2. THX for telling me. At least THAT'S cleared up.

I dunno, they're not interested in it? I've never seen a IIDX machine in a D&B either.

Also, 3 weeks in, the 1P Left arrow already is starting to suck.

"MAGGLE"
So, the other day (or yesterday), I played at FunHouse Monumento. I was playing Doubles and I stepped on a kid's foot. I cried out in surprise and forced myself to shout "Sorry." (I really wanna say that it was the kid's fault) without looking at them. I lost my timing, but didn't fail the song.

And later on, I bunch of other kids were playing on the other side of the pad (I was playing Singles). I lost my timing on Poseidon and failed the song (coupled with SN2's Progressive Lifebar system). The mom took it as a hint and led her children away from the machine.

"OMG KON!"
So something odd happened while I played at my local mall today. I was asked not once, not twice, but three times if someone could "borrow" tokens from me. If by borrow you mean taking them absolutely not!

1st kid came up and asked me if he could have some tokens. I said no and to go ask his Mom, and he said his Mom told him to ask me. I looked at his Mom and she looked away from me.
2nd kid was rude and kept saying "hey!", "excuse me!", "can I ask you something!" over and over again until finally I said "what", and the same question was prompted. I said "no" once again to this new kid and he walked away mad.
3rd time was pretty annoying because the kid was getting closer and closer to the front of the machine while I was playing. The song ended and the question was prompted again. I said "no" and he walked away.

This is seriously the first time I was ever asked to give away tokens EVER. Holy hell it was annoying. There is nothing even worth playing in the arcade I play at besides the DDR machine. This is the reason why I like usually going on Thursdays (to get around the mass amounts of people), but it was just unavoidable today with it being winter break for most kids. Pretty happy about not having to deal with it after today.

"MAGGLE"
I've posted it before,, but that has happened to me, Kon. The difference is that the kid complimented me on my performance before asking for tokens. When I declined, he became the ultimate annoy-a-tron, stomping at the pads.
