If you don't know who she is, Lady Gaga is a musical and cultural phenomenon. In just three years, she has had ten straight top-ten singles, sold over 20 million albums and 66 million singles, and her official YouTube account has had almost 1.7 billion combined video views. In short, she's one of the biggest celebrities on the planet. Lady Gaga is largely credited with helping to bring the dance music genre into the mainstream of America, which has historically been very hesitant to embrace it.

Currently, Lady Gaga has just finished shooting her music video for her new single, which is widely believed to be for the song You & I which features Queen guitarist Brian Mays. Her current single "The Edge of Glory" currently sits at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, it has spent the last 8 weeks in the top ten.

She is also set to record a song with Cher that will be released on Cher's upcoming album called "The Greatest Thing", you can hear a very early demo of the song here.

The woman herself is just weird as hell.

Music-wise, the only things I've listened to from her are Just Dance, Poker Face, and the DDR cut of Bad Romance, but I like what I've heard so far.

Might I recommend you listen to some of her acoustic versions of her songs, that's where she shines most IMO. Here's her doing a piano-solo performance of her latest hit the Edge of Glory.

It makes sad to see all the Gaga-fags on Twitter hating on Adele because she got more nominations in the VMAs.

Yeah, they feel Gaga is underrepresented at the VMAs, but I wasn't all that shocked. After she swept them last year I was figuring they were gonna cut it shorter this year and IMO the videos for Born This Way and The Edge of Glory weren't all that great, although I love Judas.

Although it's important to remember that it doesn't represent all Gaga fans. I really like Adele's music, although I personally don't find the video for Rolling in the Deep to be anything spectacular. I'm more pissed about all the Katy Perry nominations to be honest, I find her to be very overrated. Her songs are catchy, but forgettable and even irritating after a few months. Used to love I Kissed A Girl and Hot 'n Cold but now whenever they come up on my mp3 player, I quickly change the song. The only song I've liked from her recently is Last Friday Night and even that is starting to lose its cool for me.

I'm also very frustrated that Ke$ha's video for Blow got completely overlooked. I thought it was fantastic and matched the song perfectly, and I usually am not a fan of her videos.
