According to げーむにゃーす1,0, the game is listed in a magazine with no price or release date yet. Stated to have Media Install, TRAINING MODE and downloadable songs.

What does media install mean though? Does it mean that the game can be downloaded on to the memory stick via PSN Store?

No, it means that you can download some of the game's data onto your PSP memory stick, allowing the game data to be accessed quicker and reduce loading times.

Seeing that makes me think there will be horrendous load times if there's a feature to lower them.

Though I'm glad that the series is getting another home release, but I have a weird feeling that the non-downloadable songlist including unlocks is going to be short due to the songs you can download.

Isn't that how everyone played Pop'n Portable? It was availible worldwide on the PSN a few days before it's UMD release in Japan.

I imported it on UMD BECAUSE I WAS STUPID.

Development status is at 30%.
pop'n music 16 PARTY base.
PARTY MODE (similar to ADVENTURE MODE).

The ending of Adventure Mode from portable said something like see you at a party. It'll take two years or more but it's a late party.

Naoki made a tweet a few hours ago, confirming that he was the producer for Pop'n Portable 2, and explaining that there will be no more PS2 games, now that DDR and Pop'n CS games have found a home on the Wii and PSP, respectively.

We sort of knew that already after all, "BEMANI is dead" at least for major home releases.

There are a lot of doubts from that supposed e-mail. For one, I have never heard Konami be so direct in answering questions. Usually, instead of something like "We will also not release pop'music portable2 (PSP) outside of Japan." you will get "There are currently no plans to release pop'n music portable 2 outside of Japan, but if there is enough support we may consider it."
