Hi everyboy, I'm a mid-level DDR player (clearing up to lvl15, fc to lvl13) in Japan atm and I'm playing a lot of DDRX3. If you have any question or anything you'd like to try, please ask ! I'm at enjoy lvl10 atm, but I'm doing my best to unlock all the songs ^^
Have you seen the credits video? I think on X2, you could see it just by completing a nonstop course, or something like that. Someone did show the completion and then the "thank you for playing" screen, which led me to believe there simply is no credits video, but maybe they skipped it fast...? It wouldn't make sense for there not to be one... they have to credit people, don't they? Tongue I figured the background video would be the same as X2, but it hasn't been confirmed or denied yet, that I know of.

Maybe the credits video was kinda hidden so that people won't be able to guess/know who's making KOs and stuff. Just like in X2, where my friend found out that Spriggan = DJ YOSHITAKA by looking at the credits. I think credits will appear after the whole game is fully unlocked.

And to avoid licensing issues, they put all the license information in the attract sequence.

I can confirm you that after finishing a course, there's no credits video.

Too bad there weren't any unlocks throughout golden week.

Does anyone think or know if there is another IR coming?

DDR X3 sure has been lacking in cool boss songs Sad

Does anyone know if the game is done (unlock-wise), seeing as it's unlikely there'll be any more IRs?

Hey guys, Its unlock time! What do you want? Same 5 songs? Ok lets go!

Reminds me of that episode of family guy where they did a parody of Star Wars.

This unlocking system totally blows, and is making the mix look extremely bad.

No unlock system will ever be worse than EXTREME's, if you can't convince an employee to open up the machine for you to screw around with it, you're fucked. But even though, it's still considered among the best versions of DDR ever. No one will remember how painful the unlock system was after it's fully unlocked, wait until that to pass judgment.

The unlock system isn't that radically different from X2 though. In fact it is less annoying. You aren't forced to play specific numbers of songs from specific folders or play 5 nonstop courses just to get a song.

The locals are fine with the mix despite it being overall easier than X2 in terms of new content.

I vastly preferred a unlock system that allows me to unlock songs permanently, rather than just play them on certain days. Also, finding out what songs unlocked what is part of the fun. There is nothing here but go to arcade on specified day, and for x amount of weeks you just get the same 5 songs all over again.
The difficulty isn't the issue.

A lot of the ENJOY LEVEL songs aren't unlocked by default, so those technically are unlocks.

I'm guessing you want some sort of special EXTRA STAGE system?

I think 7th mix's unlock system is still the best.

No, I would rather everything be enjoy unlocks. This current system isn't creative or interesting at all. Not that all enjoy levels would be that fantastic, but at least we would have songs. Its also unfortunate that they keep saying things about unlocks and we keep getting the same 5 songs.

accidental double post Tongue

I don't really mind the unlock system, I won't be experiencing that anyway, and so does people in the States.

What I really want is working unlock codes across all locales, i.e. global unlock codes just like SN2 and X.
