Description:
This is one of those larger packs, thats going to need a few good simfile artists, a lot of attention to detail, and maybe some blood and sweat. This pack is focused on Newgrounds audio portal songs only. I have quite a large list of songs that need to be stepped and only a handful completed. The songs are going to be Keyboard and about 10-18 X-Scale. Banners and BG's are needed aswell. I have a category for this project. There only needs to be 1 difficulty as this is a larger project.

The only problem is that the charts are based off of the old scale and not the new scale, so if anyone wants to tweak the charts to make them on par with the new scale please feel free to do so.

Unfortunately these files are not a high enough quality to make the cut. (The banners and backgrounds all look like they were done in paint, and the notes don't follow the songs melody.) The songs were good, but not what I'm looking for.

I've also done some newgrounds stuff, but Id be willing to crank out a new simfile or two. Check my Project Viridian or MixMania packs if you want samples of my work (later packs, MM3, MM4, VIRIDIAN, are better examples of what I can do now).

I don't understand this, are WE allowed to submit our Newgrounds songs yo your Newgrounds pack? Also, would I have to ask the song artist for permission?

The songs are released under creative commons, as long as the songs are never used for commercial gain you dont have to get permission.

I'll vouch for that. The songs that I've made into simfiles i never had to ask for permission seeing that I have no interest in commercial (or monetary) gain. So it 's basically free game. Unless you plan on cutting the song down the song length of 1:30-2:00 then you might have to ask for permission since you are altering the original, but if you leave the song length alone then there shouldn't be any problems. Also as long as you have the artist name in the banner that should be fair game as well cause your crediting the original artist.

Nope, it's still fair game, as the creative commons license under which the newgrounds audio portal songs are distributed includes the "Share Alike" clause, which states that the work may be altered, adapted, or built upon as long as it is shared under a similar creative commons license.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pull out of this project, as my own projects/school have had me swamped recently, and I want to have free time to participate in the Summer Contest when it begins. So I need to focus on my own projects for the time being.

Funny you should make this because about the time this thread was made, i had the idea to lurk back to NG which i left a year or so ago to get help or for my own project or boot up a new one for NG songs.

I could offer some help, mostly song edits and some stepping.

but personally i dont really like a entire project of single difficulty songs. although thats how my own project sorta is with most of the songs right now.

Reviving, still being worked on slowly. Will release when finished.
