I started playing a long time ago, but I never really got past Standard until my sister gave me her SN2 US. Then I've been finally playing a 7-9 footers ;D I've been addicted since.

Best score: AA on AA Heavy

Started playing on controller when 3rd mix first came out. Never liked it back then until like a year or so ago I got my hands on the Extreme(JP), then started playing at the arcade as well.

I started playing DDR back when I was in Grade 3. I got a PSone console on my house by that time and my DDR games were the ff:

DDR 1st Mix
DDR 2nd ReMix
DDR 3rd Mix
Dancing Stage feat. Dreams Come True

On the Arcades, I had the ff: DDR machines

DDR 2nd Mix
DDR Solo
DDR 3rd Mix
DDR 4th Mix
DDR 1st Mix

I got a big hiatus (break) followed by a big comeback when I was in Third Year High School playing DDR 2nd Mix then when DDR SuperNOVA came, I got interested with it so I asked my Mom to buy it. After I finished the SuperNOVA (PS2 Version USA), I went to a TimeZone branch here in the Philippines to play the actual DDR SuperNOVA. And when DDR SuperNOVA 2 cam into the gaming industry, I was going crazy with it because I wanted to know the features and also the musics behind it. Right now I am enjoying with my PS2 with the DDR SuperNOVA 2 USA Version. I have also tried playing SN2 in the Arcade (in SM Mall Of Asia) just this last month. Big Grin

I consider myself to have started at the end of July 2002 with 5th Mix. I technically first played several months earlier on a 3rd Mix, but with no job and games costing a dollar, it was too expensive for me to get into.

I've been playing DDR since September, 1999.
I see what you did there.

I've been playing for 3 years (or 2.5, however you look at it). The first time I tried DDR was in summer of 2005. I was playing on Extreme AC, and I didn't like it because I sucked. My problem was trailing off the arrows, which kept happening for awhile after I started playing seriously. That was Christmas of 2005, just after Extreme 2 came out. I played it a lot, and reached Heavy in about a week. After the three weeks or so of Winter Break, I didn't play much except weekly vists to the arcade that summer, and occasional arcade plays ever since.

Ive been playing since December of 07. I remember thinking that csfil (speed mix) Standard was the hardest song in the game and that I could never pass it. Now I can pass everything except for PSMO, Hades, Pluto Relinqush, FAXX, Super Samurai, tokyoEVOLVED and FELMO. Never AAAed anything (closest thing was 1 great on Kind Lady).

I started one month before that (November '07) with Supernova AC. On my second day playing i almost AA'd Dead End on heavy (got like 40 greats and a FC i think), and kept on from there. It was weird since i never started playing on light, or difficult, just went straight to heavy. I guess playing a lot of stepmania with a keyboard got me used to what i had to do, and my feet just magically kept up.

Now the best thing i can do is AA the original 3 max songs, and A PSMO. Im starting to get sick of DDR though, some of the charts from SN and up are plain stupid (See FAXX and Unreal) but ehh, i cant play ITG so im stuck i guess with SN2 for now...Annoyed
I hate DDR, but just cant stop playing it...

I am ashamed... I had started playing DDR 3 year ago and I'm still in level 6 (and almost 7) songs Sad

well, that's because I don't play very much, anyway, I've started with an 3rd mix playing Wonderland and almost failing it

by the way, that DDR 3rd mix AC still exists xD

30th November 2003 =D

for my 16th birthday a mate brought over ddr 5th mix and a bunch of us asian losers gave it a go.
My only issue was the back arrow because i dindt reach back far enough.
A few weeks later my first heavy pass was Can't stop falling in love (speed mix) <3

On and off untill now, and recently for the last year or so i've started to play focusing on PA and all that.

horah Happy

me i started playing in august 2007. and i never ever played before. my friend got UM4 for his xbox. he did so good compared to me he got AA's on basic songs while i got like fails to A on beginner song!Laughing Hard i got some what better in a month starting to play some basic songs with a C grade lucky if I got a B.
and around october i finally bought myself ddr HP for wii. that was when i improved soooo much. i was then surpassing my friend (who played DDR at arcades in the past). i later got Extreme2 and SN2 in late december. And now I can pass Freeway Shuffle, with a full combo and a AABig Grin!

So basicly in less than a year i went from sucking on beginner songs to doing well on Expert songs.

My next step: Getting used to the arcade timingSmile

Well lets see here. I knew it was somewhere around the beginning of the year in 2001, or so. It was a dreadful winter that time, so I could definitely remember that time. (Not sure if it was 2000 or 2001 though). Well anyways, my cousin bought the debut mix of DDR which would be used on his PS2. I remembered that day where I would always hog everyones time into playing DDR. So after a year later, back in 2002, I bought my very first DDR game which was Konamix. Eventually I sucked after maybe, (a year later) O_O , I could do heavy, thanks to DDRMAX2. Big Grin And, I honestly don't remember what year it was, but my first time playing in an arcade was on DDRMAX2 7th Mix.
