Hey guys. I have decided to set up a special BEMANI awards just for fun. Not only that but would benefit our opinions that could help BEMANI staff to create better games in the future.
It is your chance to vote for your favourite in a variety of categories in 5 sections. For the first five days we will begin discussing our choices per day per section. After that I will put up a shortlist and there will be polls running so that you guys can vote for your best ones. Once the results have gathered, counted and verified, the final results will be announced via video on YouTube which will be uploaded in a few weeks time. So in the meantime, have fun guys and get voting.

A bit confused about "• Best Arcade Series". Are we debating which game in the DDR arcade series is the best?

Absolutely. Arcade is for arcade games and console is for console games.

I like this, however I feel you should be more specific. Perhaps you should say what you mean in parenthesis.
Example.
Dance Dance Revolution
• Best DDR Soundtrack (Song list as a whole)
• Most Recognisable Achievement (Type of achievement)
• Best DDR Video (BG Video)
Also, it shouldn't be best arcade series and best console series. DDR is the series. It should be Best Arcade release or title and so on.
Example.

Putting forward my arguments (and probably my votes)

• Best Arcade Series
In terms of software, the best DDR Arcade game is DDR X2. I think Extreme is a close 2nd place, and might have aged better than X2 will, but in terms of sheer quality, X2 has my vote.
For new players, this is the most accessible game yet. Happy Mode may or may not be a great idea, but licensed songs from animes is something that both casual and hardcore players have wanted since DDR's inception, and the Super Eurobeat deal is obviously a dream come true for oldskool players.
On the other side of the coin, hardcore players get masses of fanservice. Local High Scores? Hard-as-fuck crossover songs? Beatnation artists remixing Dancemania songs? Doujin artists making songs for DDR? She Is My Wife?
It's like this game exists to make DDR players happy.

• Best Console Series
Easily DDR Extreme CS. It's huge, and it's timeless, there are very few "throwaway" songs, every license is as good as the KOs, and it's pretty much everything we've ever asked for in a DDR game.
As a "thank you" to players, they even threw in a ton of old Konami Original songs, and kept adding them until they filled up the disc.
And to top it off, the most controversial song in all the DDR series. What a game!

Maybe you should edit the title as well.

EMPRESS because it's that or 8th style that I've ever played on.
• Best Console Game
GOLD CS, I could have easily picked EMPRESS + PREMIUM BEST for its huge size but GOLD takes the cake for me as having the most songs I enjoy. It also has CS songs with unique music videos, something the last version couldn't provide.
• Best IIDX Song
[TECHNO DANCE]One of a kind, such a unique song in IIDX. Runner ups include Wanna Party? (DJT) SWITCH (9th) and about 30 others I can't think of atm.
• Worst IIDX Song
[DIGITAL ROCK] Yabis Starlight, it is from GOLD but man is this song ugh.
• Best IIDX Chart
