The version of Somebody To Love that appears on DDR UNIVERSE is formally known as Somebody To Love (Salt Shaker Remix).
The first 30 or so seconds (that was cut for DDR) is...a quote from Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas?

Hmm.. I always thought that song was kinda catchy. I used to want to find it so I could listen to it outside of DDR, but now that I listen to it again, it isn't that great haha. I guess your musical tastes can change in 5 years.
I really don't have anything. Is there really anything else interesting about DDR that nobody has stated in 90 pages? Let's just make a new thread where everyone pretends this one didn't happen

the lowest possible ranked song in the ENTIRE ddr lineup is SAYONARA NO KAWARI NI on "Dance Dance Revolution OHA-STA*
it's ranked a 3 footer.
http://youtu.be/d0lR_WnUM5Q?t=29s
also worth mentioning that the game itself is pretty rare
if i'm wrong, please correct me
also took me forever to find clean audio of the song (for those that want it, i personally like it)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtWfVRT0AVI
video of the chart:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwCQ5mx7i4g
another sidenote; there's an 8-bit version of it from DDR GB

Negatory. If you get down to technics, "The Centre Of The Heart (STONEBRIDGE CLUBMIX)" from 5thMIX CS has the lowest rated chart, clocking in at an astounding 1.
Granted, it's a preview chart, and it isn't remotely complete (we wouldn't get the proper charts for the song until DDRMAX, where it was re-rated accordingly), but this simplified version still appeared in an officially released title, with certified ratings, and therefore, it counts.
5:23 in the above video.
(If you really want to get technical, "Follow Me" and "FLASH IN THE NIGHT" from DDRMAX weren't even rated at all, but they generally don't count as they only appeared in one version of the game, and no other song from said version was given a foot rating.)

IMO the one in 5th mix appears to be a glitch; but again I can't be sure of that. more of less likely because the chart isnt even completed, strange though
as for flash in the night in follow me they'll pretty much remain unrated unless konami decides to revive them for some reason
for me I still count sayonara as the lowest ranked. just my opinion, due to it being arguable because of it not being a finished chart

It's not a glitch, though. It's a preview chart (and a rather early version, might I add) for a song that would have made its proper debut in the next release, like what most PS1 JP CS titles did. Hell, you even unlock it, as well as a preview for NORI NORI NORI, rather early in the game.
Post #1806 · Posted at 2014-03-24 11:58:10am 10 years ago
it's still highly arguable due to it being incomplete.
they're not the offically added steps, it's not even supposed to be accessed (hence it being a preview chart). konami coughed out some random steps for the chart specifically for preview mode. even though it can be unlocked, i don't believe personally that they were meant to be unlocked.
glitch or not, the chart doesn't look finished; and that makes me disqualify it from my view

Allow me to take the time to dissect this post piece by piece. Please forgive me if I come off as rude; there's no way for me to stress that enough.
"it's still highly arguable due to it being incomplete."
Incomplete or not (which is subjective as any chart could be considered "incomplete"), the song was included with those steps in that game, which was released for public consumption.
"they're not the offically added steps"
Well, technically, they are the official steps... for that game. More than likely, it was just an extraordinarily early version of the chart (seeing as how it's a preview track and they were already in an early build of DDRMAX when 5thMIX was released), but I'm not in a position where I could clarify it as fact. The song was given new charts in DDRMAX, yes, but I'm not talking about DDRMAX here.
"it's not even supposed to be accessed (hence it being a preview chart)"
Did you not see the part where I said that the song was unlocked early on in the game? Cause you unlock it by the same means as you unlock the other songs. It's even included within the main song list with the other unlocked songs when you unlock it, as shown in the above video. Also, previous games allowed you to access the preview songs pretty easily, so I don't know where you got that from.
"konami coughed out some random steps for the chart specifically for preview mode. even though it can be unlocked, i don't believe personally that they were meant to be unlocked"
I refer you to the two above points.
"glitch or not, the chart doesn't look finished; and that makes me disqualify it from my view"
And I refer you to the first point.
"it's still highly arguable due to it being incomplete."

I dunno if this counts, but if it doesn't then I'm sorry. Also I'm sorry if this was already mentioned.
I noticed on my DDR 5th Mix OST that both of the spines on the card say DDR 4th Mix OST. Has anyone else notice this error?

The 5th Mix Data Bank misspells CLUB TROPICANA as CLUB TOROPICANA.

Most interesting thing in this thread is how someone can have such a terrible opinion

Back on topic, the idea of reusing the steps of other songs in a stepchart has actually been around since before Dance Dance Revolution's Oni chart was first heard of. There's an edit in Block 2 the 5th Mix Data Bank for Silent Hill that reuses DEAD END's Heavy steps, with a few extra steps added.
(Video for proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz6PuPWoGK4)
As we all know, the song SMOKE samples "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple. What you might not know, however, is that the line of lyrics in SMOKE that goes "Two times Ian, Roger, Ritchie, and Jon" is a reference to the five original members of Deep Purple. (Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ritchie Blackmore, and Jon Lord)

I have no clue why, but I really, really like the look of this stepchart.

stop right there. besides if you wanna think of it that way, there's PARANOiA MAX ~DIRTY MIX~ (in roulette) which just copy-pastes PARANOiA's chart.
