I know it's a license so it's debatable whether it's interesting or not but a group of Dads just danced on Britain's Got Talent and the mash up ended with the Hi-Rise version of I Believe In Miracles hahaha.
It's one of those weird songs that was popular, and most people had heard of before DDR, but was so huge in DDR itself that it's really hard to imagine it being played in any situation that isn't DDR-based.
I think Sky High is another good example?

Yeah I think that's the only reason it's interesting. If it had been something like Strictly Business or yeah Sky High I still would've had that DDR association, but say, Dance Dance or Ice Ice Baby obviously an eyelid wouldn't have been batted aha.
Off topic as well but I can't hear I Believe In Miracles without picturing Hitler. Damn you Greatest Of Stepmania.

Oh wow, when somebody mentioned that the image of Jason Enos' DLC characters might not be safe for work, I remembered that guy boasting about how his simfile pack was going to feature a popular fetish model, and posted images of her appearing in porn, but I couldn't remember what his simfile pack was actually called.

On the Konami website for Artist Profiles, Naoki is still listed there along with 3 songs he did.

The beginning to the Insideout Door remix of I Need You from DDR Party Collection has the same production as one of the r&b jukebox songs from The Sims 2 ("2Night").

I Need You (Insideout Door Mix) debuted on Party Collection in December 2003
Sims 2, which contains that song, came out in September 2004.
The fact that it's such an obvious rip irks me a bit. Naughty naughty Sims people.

I find it ironic though that they apparently got access to the base tracks, since there are sections in 2Night that apply the production in ways not present in I Need You (Insideout Door Mix). I also remember The Sims 2 having teasers at least a year before it was released (there was a promo CD included with the Makin' Magic Expansion Pack for The Sims 1), so maybe somebody from Maxis had a close connection at Bemani or something?

Quote me if I'm wrong here, but I Need You (Insideout Door Mix) debuted as menu music for MAX CS (US, not sure JP) before appearing in cut/playable version on Party Collection. And that was 2002. I think it even appeared on the MAX sampler (one of 'em at least).
Methinks it was a direct sample, if not a close interpolation, used in the Sims 2 track.
Either way, both songs are banger.
EDIT: quote me away, cause i was way off lmao
i got my maxes confused with my extremes and my look to the skys confused with my i need yous
this is what you get when you don't fact check, ladies and gentlemen

Yeah, it was used as the music for the information mode in DDR Extreme CS US, though I do think it's ironic that that game was released a week after The Sims 2.

You know, the I Need You/Sims thing is probably just a loop from a sample pack anyone could buy. I have no idea how to find out which one, but that would be my guess. BEMANI uses samples all the time for rap segments. Wouldn't surprise me if they used it for instrumental segments now and then.

DDR Extreme 2 has an odd quirk in the Order Courses. When you're selecting songs for your custom courses, the foot display only goes up to 9 feet when there are a few 10s in the mix. Maybe they weren't originally planning to have Sakura, PS and PSM?
This is the only place in the entire game where songs are (technically) rated out of 9 because the regular songwheel has the correct graphic.

In DXY! I hear a voice, I forget what is said (something like "doing Dub Step guys"), the voice sounds like Vin Diesel, although I highly doubt that it is Vin Diesel, but I just want to put this to rest. Then there will be no more from me.
I've heard this on another song (on Project Gotham Racing 2, no less). The quote is 'there are no bad guys, just disturbed guys'. Trying to work out where this is from isn't coming up trumps, sadly. From what I could find, it's a quote from the movie The Dirty Dozen.
Some others I discovered semi-recently...
- Keep On Liftin' (which was in MAX2 US CS) is in Rumble Roses XX as one character's entrance theme, I can't remember which one off hand.
- The original Rumble Roses also has an electronic rock cover of Look To The Sky. It's actually very well done.
- The Earth Light is in the first Zone of the Enders in the "CITY" stage.
- The 1st Mix "how to play" music mentioned by Nicolas has also played during break stages a few of the times I attempted Endless Mode on Max 2 US CS.

A lot of jacket art in DDR Universe 3 is taken from BG animations in the first two Universe games. Off the top of my head, Akibarrific, Big City Lights and Senses (Kaiju Remix) are from Uni1 animations and Dancing Machine is from a Uni2 animation.

Here is a video of the DDR Hottest Party beta version.
http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/File:Dance_Dance_Revolution_Hottest_Party_Nintendo_Wii_Gameplay_-_Everybody_Dance_Now_%28Off-Screen%29
I can see how exactly it was a beta, but what I found interesting was that Emi was originally planned to be in the game. She was later scrapped for Rena (who coincidentally has the same last name as Emi and both have blue hair), but Rena's first outfit is the green costume that Emi wore in the beta. I actually didn't notice that!
EDIT: It also uses the same judgement font and (I think) the same dancer bones that DDR Mario Mix has.

Its pretty neat.
Nice find. I can too see why it was in beta..

I don't know if anybody noticed this: in DDR 2014, the video clip where EGOISM 440's movie ends is the same one that is seen at the beginning of Over The "Period". Not quite sure why they would do that, but it is smart!
