okay, after i experiment with original X2 CS Theme into Stepmania AMX Version
now i'm going to build a DDR X2 AC Theme into Stepmania AMX
Note:
- Only works on Normal Mode (Not Course, Battle, and Endless)
- This Theme is almost like DDR SuperNOVA theme (by takuya)
- That First Link is Portable. So, no need to install. Just place to anywhere and insert your sims to Songs folder (Don't forget to make group folder first)
- To make image of Group Banner (Section) work. Size must be 200X150 and rename to background.png
- This theme currently can be played on EVENT or non-EVENT mode
- currently ScreenEvaluation still use banner (i will experiment again if Title and Artist can inserted through metrics.ini)
- ignore the "Artist:" on gameplay
- code of pressing MenuLeft+MenuRight is removed
- recommend to use .SM file. (.SM file without autogen steps that same as 3.9+REDUX) or you can use DWI file but if contains SMANIAC, change it to CHALLENGE
- some of parts maybe not implemented yet, need clean graphics of X2 AC
- if .SM file contains CDTitle that from another location (for example: ../CDTitle.png), fix it or the SM will crash at start
- ScreenSelectMusic banner is Square, but using 4:3 Background file
- if you have patched alpha 2 installed in theme, overwrite with this new patch
if anyone can implement other parts or asking question about this theme, comment it

oh yesssss this's awesome! AMX version of StepMania makes it easy to set a banner wheel on screenselectmusic, and i'm very curious how he coded this stuff because this isn't screenez2selectmusic XD

This. IMO, since Konami's pushing for square banners, we should too. Also, it would be nice to have this as accurate as possible.
Edit: Is it possible in SM to display CHALLENGE grayed out when it's not selectable?

I'm going to safely assume no. If I can recall, the X2 theme on sm-ssc cannot even replicate that.

But it'll be tiring to remake all the banners of the songs in existence in your SM. So It's easier to use the background. It's using background, not specially made banner.

Backgrounds could be resized on ScreenSelectMusic, right?
