Whoever was in charge honestly did a piss poor job.

Why were there OGGs uploaded?
Why is "crushcrushcrush" named "crushscrushcrush"?
Why is "New York EVOLVED Ver.A/B/C" capitalised wrong?
Why is "A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix)" named "A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Mix)"?
Why is the "TSUGARU (APPLE MIX)" MP3 is in 160kbps?

In other news, major update to the category coming soon.
Bump: Updated.

1. All MP3s have been bumped upto PS3 audio quality rather than Wii.
2. All custom banners that are not derivatives from the original in-game banner have been removed. "ever snow" will be replaced soon.
3. All simfiles resynced to new MP3s.
4. "Celebration", "Dancing in the Street" and "We Are Family" are new live BPM songs and require further work to get the sync right.
5. All song names and artists have been corrected.

Oggs were uploaded before Ziv provided mp3s converted from the Wii game. If you're talking about "ever snow", I didn't replace it with the Wii mp3 simply because Wii is 32khz and my audio came from 44.1khz - entirely debatable / subjective as to which sounds "better", and there were more charts to finish so no real point replacing the audio yet anyway.

The only reason I'm using vorbis for the beta categories is I'd rather sync a simfile once, not twice. (i keep voribs on my hdd, space is limited.) Even then, there's still people posting complaints about sync in the X2 work thread, so al2k4 you may want to look yourself.


Everything else, wasn't me, I never touched any song you specifically called out.

Nah, I don't think "ever snow" had a OGG file, I think "Top The Charts" had one.

32KHz audio from the Wii will ALWAYS be inferior to 44.1KHz.

32KHz is equivalent to FM Radio. 44.1KHz is equivalent to CD Audio.

neodude, I don't think it was you personally, but someone else who was also in charge that has a poor quality record.

Just when did we get the audio from the PS3? Was it possible to get the announcer as well?

I don't think the announcer file is the same format as the songs. I believe the announcer is in an archive with all the voice samples in one file.

I am working on the Octo-Move challenge charts right now. These will be available on techno mode, which is only available for 3.9 (and variants of) right now. You will have to download the Technomotion noteskin to use these, which is available here.

I'll post here with a list of what charts I can't find later.

I thought the challenge charts weren't going to be bothered with?

al2k4, CRAZY LOVE has a different chart on Wii. The end 16ths are laid out completely differently.

I used to have the sm file but I accidentally deleted it when I copied the pack over it.. >_>

While we're on the topic of different stepcharts between PS and Wii versions, HP3 and X2 have different You are a Star charts on at least one difficulty.

The only difference is that on HP3, they have diagonal arrows?

Bump: CRAZY LOVE Wii's chart added to the Wii category. It was only the last few measures that were different right?

Taking out the diagonal arrows, HP3 and X2 have the same Expert chart. I don't know about Difficult, but the large majority of HP3's Basic chart consists solely of left and right arrows. When Gimmicks are turned on, many of those are replaced with Diagonal arrows as a sort of introduction to that gimmick. X2's Basic chart seems more like an expected Basic chart.

I'm kinda busy right now with more important stuff, but I can add the missing charts within the next week or so if no one else wants to do it.
