What word did they make to go back on? They never promised anything regarding CS IIDX. They just said, if there's demand, we will make it. If they do not make it, the conclusion is there was not sufficient demand. They're not going to turn down a money-making opportunity.

I think there was a tweet by maybe Naoki from the beginning of the year that was something like 'This year, the dream will come true!' in reference to another CS IIDX. I don't remember the details very well, but I do know there was a tweet like that around that time, and there were plans to re-manufacture the JKOC as well (which was at least delayed by the earthquake, I don't know if it ever went back in stock).Post #345 · Posted at 2011-12-26 08:04:11am 12.3 years ago

guys, they obviously moved development to the wii u where all future ddr cs games will also join.

Yes that is the Wii U, but IIDX is meant for buttons, not touch screens!

...what I didn't factor in was that Christmas isn't really all that important to the Japanese in comparison to New Years. Now, here's a little hopeful update:
-This year isn't over yet (2011)
-Social Factory is still loaded with beatmaniaIIDX 17 SIRIUS CS requests (everyday lovelyday)
-Konami has planned schedule for release of the reproduction KOCs (March 2012) [why not release with SIRIUS CS?]
I was hoping that they would repeat the past like what they did with 7th style CS, but obviously they didn't. Despite the crazy hiatus, there is still much hope for SIRIUS CS! Social Factory probably won't be up forever, and the requests should be acted upon soon...not to mention, the SIRIUS CS demand has been going on long before this.
